We used DHL to ship to POS and becuz DHL does not provide the return air waybill, hubby had to fill out a return shipment request form and put the approx return date on it, well he estimated a 2 weeks return and becuz it was way past the estimated return date, the DHL rep. told my husband that it was thrown out and that it would be another 3 days before they can get the docs back to him from POS.

So I went ahead and opened a Fedex account online, and then emailed the account number to POS who then made the arrangements with Fedex....and this is the short version of my nightmare yesterday lol

Wow, what a headache!!!! . Anyways, very glad you were able to get it done with FedEx.

We used FedEx as well.. I opened the FedEx account and gave him the account number.. When he went to the FedEx place in ochi he had no problems....

Mrs. Wright - he is happy to stay inside with the minus 28 degree weather - that is for sure! And he can get a new one, but it takes 6 months so we have to wait for his PR card to arrive in the meantime.

Yes Stacy it definitely works out better when you use the same courier service to both ship the PP and to receive it back , but unfortunately for me DHL messed me up for the return shipment, so I had to end up using Fedex to return the PP

Oh it was a headache, and again that was the short version HA!! Yes I'm glad too! :)

I still have no status change on ECAS, which for some reason is really bothering me. ::)

This Final wait is brutal. I am checking FedEx like every 30 mins. Still keeping the faith. Hang in all, we will get through this together. PP submitted 18th December.

Cannot agree more, it is painful…Hopefully soon

I couldn't agree more what a frigging headache this whole process is I requested too withdrawal my in Canada application Dec 13 and nothing yet saying it's closed...I want too submit my out of Canada sponsorship and I can't even do that yet I want the process to start so my husband can come back to his family .. and now I checked the times of out of Canada processing times and it's up from 53 days too 61 days for sponsor approval... good lord why can't things go the way I want it ..

LOL is all... and now that I'm done that I just wanted to say that Trinidad emailed me back today when I asked them what's going on.. they told me his application is now finalized and he can expect his passport/visa in next "few days"... hmm.. what should I expect? another 14 "few" days? Or do they actually follow through haha..

Congrats, that is great news Ballsgirl....Happy for you, Did you send them a mail to inquire before they e-mailed you?

I'm just wondering if processing times are going faster now or is it still really slow??? Still nothing back about my husband's in canada sponsorship application being withdrawn yet ... I'm getting frustrated should it take this long too hear back sincenter Dec 13?

Yes I did email them and just wanted to make sure everything was okay with the bill and that back and they never replied for a long while, then I emailed Kingston, then finally yesterday Port of Spain emailed me back and said a "few days".. of course when the weekend comes they are closed so I don't know why they say that but oh well, better than nothing!
Just a question for Suzanne.. just wanted to know why are you so concerned about processing times and how fast they are going when you aren't even sure what your partner can do/stay? You're saying you haven't even heard a withdrawal response yet for one of them to even apply for the other one... so in about a year at this time that's when you could possibly think about "processing".. in my opinion.. not sure due to the situation but you sound like you have a long wait so I would maybe just "let it gooooo" with the processing times.. not to be rude, but I mean a lot of the questions you're asking are out of our control either way as we aren't working in the immigration office..

It can take a couple months for the application to be withdrawn. You don't need to wait for it to happen to reapply as outland.

As for processing times...the sponsporship approval changes daily and usually by a couple days. This one usually is set in stone as to when you get SA. For the processing times for the final stage...it all depends on when the VO works on your file. Some get through in 6 months and others are still waiting for over 20 months. So you need to relax a little about these processing times. This process is a long wait and if you stress out about how long it will take it will take over your life. Remember that others on here have been waiting a long time already...take a look at the spreadsheet.

Thanks for the response I guess it's just the whole fact that I wish I wasn't in this position but I know I got too relax... so my papers are going too go in for out of Canada.. wishing myself luck as I know it's going too be a long road ahead urgh...
