Kingston please put an article in the paper and publicly say you have serious issues with backlog; though it will make us upset atleast we would prefer knowing

I agree with this, although we know..because we are living the reality of the long wait ???, It would be great if they "publicly" acknowledged this "backlog"... and gave some reassurance that they are working hard, or even hired extra staff to deal with this... :-*

Acknowledgement Of Receipt.

It is when Kingston receives your application. Unfortunately they don't send out AOR's. We find out by sending them an email asking them or see it in our GCMS notes.

Agreed CanJam; because they are backlogged on everything; a friend of mine in JA; her husband has been waiting over 7mths now to hear about his work permit; another friend applied for a visit visa to travel in September and just received the decision last week.

So its either they continue to not handle files in the order of receipt or they are extremely backlogged even with the help of the 2 new VAC (Mobay and Kingston).

Either way let us continue to walk by faith and not by sight.

I noticed that we have a similar timeline ;D my hubby also did his medical and police check in Nov 2012... do you plan on having him redo it?... I might, because as I posted earlier, when I spoke to my MP last week... she suggested that he redo it (as a sign of being pro-active), and then to contact her, and she would inform Missisauga.

Question:... does anyone remember the cost of the medical Adult & Child.... Thanks :-*

Just wanted to share with you a message I got this morning. We were all wondering who was being so hateful to others and sending pm's around to forum members and I found out this morning and thought I would share with you all. I am not even going to degrade myself and give this person an answer, this is answer enough. One thing i will say is YES it hurts like hell to see others get through that applied after me but am I hateful of them?.....no way. Jamaica is a hard country, my hubby comes from the bad parts of JA and I have seen the pain and sufferation on people and children's faces so i am happy for anyone that gets out of there and also I know how it feels to be separated from your spouse and no one should have to go thru the wait that we all have to face just to be with our loved ones. I don't hate the people that get thru......i hate Kingston for doing it, there is no rhyme or reason to how they do things but we just live with it and wait. I said last week that people should speak how they feel and I am glad you spoke up.

I don't understand why she feels the need to do this. You've been nothing but supportive to all of us during our process and yes you may have been waiting a long time but you are far from bitter when others get through.

This disgusts me like no other. You don't deserve this at all

Honestly I am not taking a proactive step on this at all; it may sound bad but I prefer being asked for it. It's ok once I know I am approved and this is the only thing waiting to issue the visa; I will have him re- do at that point; even if it means another month or 2 of waiting; atleast this waiting will be with less anxiety.

With PCC now being only 9mths and the possibility of CIC having the requisite authority to request a medical extension; I am not wasting any money.

Not sure the cost of the meds; maybe someone will respond shortly on this.
