When I applied it took 3 months for Sponsorship approval...and I'm still waiting 19.5 months later for a decision to be made on my hubby's application....

There are several people on the forum that have been waiting well over a year and we have tried to get answers...maybe you'll get lucky...

The problem is that I have written the High Commission 4 times in 5 months and they have yet to give me a response, other than the one they gave me on May 14, 2013, that said they would respond shortly. I feel terrible that you have been waiting 19.5 months. Have you written the Minister of Immigration, The Prime Minister or gone to the Embassy when you were in Kingston?

That is another ridiculous thing, you think if you fly from Canada and go to the embassy three times you would be able to see an Officer. It is completely ridiculous and crazy! And . to make things crazier, you have to travel the whole country to try to get into see an Officer! There should at least be some kind of satellite office so people don't have to travel so far!....... Oh ya, but if they can't get going in one office, how the heck would they operate 2 or 3 LOL

Yes, we have all received no answer at some point or the don't call us, we'll call you brush off.

The sad part is that these employees are not held to any sorts of standards -- they don't even follow their own OP manuals!!! And heaven forbid that we ask any questions -- they always respond that they cannot update us on a regular basis. That's a laugh -- they don't give any updates! If they updated e-cas or our GCMS notes on a regular basis we wouldn't have to contact them at all.

And it is pathetic that Canadian citizens cannot enter the High Commission in Kingston. I guess it is for their safety and to not be bothered by all of us on a regular basis!!!! They would get even less work done then they already do!!!

I hope for the best for you and your hubby -- please keep us in the loop!

Definitely aware I am not the only one that have these feelings,
Sometimes i wonder how the people like you and Nev do it..
my Heart goes out to all the 2012 applicants.

The most disgusting thing is, it will soon be 2014.
I hope most of the early 2012 applicants have gotten their answers by then.
This is shameful to the Canadian Government.

my Heart goes out to all the 2012 applicants.

The most disgusting thing is, it will soon be 2014.
I hope most of the early 2012 applicants have gotten their answers by then.

I think most of us are frustrated, mad, sad, numb, discouraged, and whatever other emotion is out there.

It is a roller-coaster and I'm ready to get off any day now...

I received an email today from the Prime Minister's Office.

I also received an email form my MP asking for additional information.

Not holding breath, but praying for a breakthrough!

Whatever it is. I don't mind. I have never gotten the chance to
Spend Christmas with my husband. We've been together for seven years.
I foolishly thought this process would be fairly quick, and I would have him in my arms in less than a year. And promised my husband we wouldn't have to spend another Christmas apart.


I'm praying.

I agree 100% but the fact is no one but us sees it! How can we make a change that is the big question!
