Happy Hump Day NEV!

I have a good feeling about today so heres hoping my hunch is right! Come on Kingston! Let's here something good.

9 people from the 1st half of 2012 still waiting, 4 peeps waiting for their PP to be returned with a shiny stamp, and 9 people from the 2nd half of 2012 waiting........thats not alot to ask for 18 PPR's and 4 PP returns today and then you can move onto 2013

With two senior officers approving the applications they should be able to get through all of the ones you listed above today! And the administrators can send out the four passports that have to be returned! Let's go Kingston!!!!

Ok so I just noticed something on the email I got back from Kingston regarding my hubby's medicals. They had my UCI number wrong!!!! I just emailed them to let them know that they made a mistake and to see if that's why

Sammy I'm so glad you have figured it out. I somehow feel something is wrong with my application too. Evey time I manage to get ahold of someone in KGN over the phone, and I give them my application number (F number) they tell me it is invalid.

I've been emailing them with no response about this issue and the fact my husbands Medicals had expired, and I haven't even got one of those cookie cutter emails back! And I've been emailing since August 24th.
I've Even emailed the high commissioner himself. Twice. With no response.
And I see some people have gotten replies within 48 hours!

Very frustrating. Which I'm sure everyone's frustrated too

There is a politician for every parish in Jamaica, they hand out cards to people in order to get into the program from what I understand.

Ok...I can ask my husband if you want he went to Canada on the farm workers program....I know the MP that was handling it helped him get on the usually want someone that is a farmer or experienced but my husband didn't have none.

Hey Carm,
Have you gotten hubby to re do his criminal check? And what did you guys decide to do on the medicals? Wait to see if try extend or wait until they ask for a redo or did you guys decide to just do it without waiting?

Kingston asked me not to redo until they asked us to about the medicals but they didn't say anything about criminals checks so we are just going to go and get them done. Hubby is sick right now and spent the day in te hospital yesterday. He needs to rest so once he recovers I will get him on it!!

We are just going to wait until they request things. they said the same thing to me too not to do anything until they request. Hope your hubby gets better. I am hoping Kingston isn't late in getting a hold of us.

Hey Guys I read and see where you say that they can extend the medicals is that for real? or once it expire we have to redo it, what about the ones that has been expired like mine and they still have our pp will they call to come get the pp to redo the medicals,oh boy I wish they just call and say visa is ready lol. I notice that on the website am not seeing the STRIKE ALERT sign anymore does that mean they start to work omg I wish we all get our calls all the 2012 people that are waiting forever. Can I ask a question is it possible to refuse a visa after having our documents so long or they wud have refused from the day of the interview with these people you don't know what to expect I know we all have to stay positive but it is so nerve recking at times.

Yes they can extend your medicals up to 15 months and when did your medicals expire? most likely they have extended it as they have your passport. The strike is over and they are back to regular work with a new contract. They wont deny your application after they ask for your passport no need to worry they have your documents and passport.

Visa officers can request that an applicant’s medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires. This process is limited to applicants who had a routine immigration medical examination (IME) done by a panel physician within the last 15 months in or outside Canada. The new medical certificate issued will be valid for 12 months.


Your medical has more than likely already been extended without your knowledge.
