- before xmas? maybe?
I have been married for over 2 years and I just changed my name last month. The only reason being is just before I was married I JUST renewed my passport. The Scottish in me didn't want to change my name so I would have to pay for another passport so soon.CocoVanilla said:Good morning Chickie, Danielle, Nev and Waiting!
Looking forward to a lot of activity on the forum this week! PPR calls all around!!!
In the meantime... I have a question for you guys
What's your opinion on name changes? I am going to be changing my name after we get married in November. Do you think it really gets you any bonus points for the marriage being genuine? Or it's not worth delaying the application by a few weeks to get the name change done first?
I know I could always send in the application with my maiden name and then send a change of name, but I don't want to delay anything by emailing them with updates either.
Thanks for your input!
I JUST recently found out that you can change a all your documents and not your passport as long as you travel in your maiden name. My husband was happy to hear this and that I finally changed my name after 2 years.
I havent submitted this to CIC yet. I'm not sure how. Take a picture of my DL. AND HEALTH CARD?
