Welcome Mrs. Davis! I'm a control freak too and very impatient..... :) and we haven't even filed the papers yet!!

Good to see u again Nev. I was secretly hoping that your hubby got the PPR and u went down to Jamaica to pick him up and that's why u hadn't been posting for a while!! No such luck I guess...

Ok Kingston.... Time to send Nev her hubby. She has been very patient but now it's time. PPR by the end of this week please. We won't hold any grudges as long as you clear out all the 2012 applicants in the next 2 weeks. Is that too much to ask?

Thanks for your words of support , CV. :-*

I promise that this thread will know moments after my hubby gets the PPR call/email/letter.
;D

Thank you for sharing your story with us, it sounds very romantic. :D

There will always be certain circumstances that will make the process longer for some but I don't think family reunification should take longer than a year. And if it does, there should be detailed notes on ecas and in the GCMS notes so people know what is happening.

My patience was gone a long time ago...
:'(

Beautiful story Mrs. Davis.

I agree Nev; if they are referring us to Ecas for updates and ignoring our emails; then everytime they update our file it should automatically be updated to ecas.

Honestly I used to experience poor service from US Embassy through the eyes and experiences of family members but I must say Canada has now taken over this award.

In both temporary and permanent resident visa processing. A friend of mine was sponsored by her spouse in the US and less than 6 mths they got through; same for a cousin in the US who sponsored his son.

Canada fees are now more expensive than US and the service is poor; such a shame.

LOL sorry I fell asleep on you last night!

Well I am not sure if some of you have read on another forum post but I do have some good news. Friday afternoon hubby received our ARC letter in the mail and also a request for his police certificate update. Yesterday he went into the embassy with the bank draft and updated PC. I had to laugh at his description of the embassy "Babes, it pretty as F U C K in the embassy building. They searched me and wouldn't let me take my phone in there, I had to leave that with security. There was a white lady and a mixed lady working behind the counters and she put all my info into the computer right while i was standing there!" Just thought I would share that with you all, i just laughed at him because he sounded like a kid who just seen disneyland LOL. Hubby has another friend in JA (2012 app) that is just finishing up his app and will be heading to Canada soon too but they aren't part of the forum.

I wanted to come share with you all just so you know that Kingston definitely is still working and hopefully clearing out the 2012 so the 2013 people can get their spouses too! Keep the faith, things are going to start going crazy up in here!

Blessings
