That is wonderful news. I most definitely will be looking for mine then. LOL. I have a package with supporting documents to send off to Kingston this week. Hopefully it would speed up process.

I honestly think it helps expecially to decrease an interview mine was waived. Did you pay your rprf yet of 490.00?

Hi FAD. I am saying hello and watching your time line it is close to mine. When you get through..i am expecting my PPR son afterwards. LOL.

Lol. With the way POS is going I doubt I will hear anything before you.

I feel you though on the ECAS checking obsession. My husband has politely asked me to stay away from ecas and this forum because he says that I go on there expecting a miracle and then get frustrated if that miracle doesn't come through. It is a really draining process. I'm sure we all agree.

I paid for everything at the same time that I put in the initial paper work. I hope there is not an extra fee. I believe I paid $1040 or something like that.

How early did u guys send more documents to the VO?

My hubby lost his telephone for I day he then went to Digicel filled out some paperwork and they were able to give him back the same number. He lost his chip with all kinds of pictures and contact numbers. Luckily he was able to get back the same phone number and I didn't have to contact KGN to advise that he has a new number.

I am just sending extra items now. I have been to JA 6 times in the last 15 months. I know I will not be going back again after this July trip so I am sending the extra items so that I don't have to do it later.

Yes there is an additional fee of 490.00 for the right of residence fee apart from the 1040.

Oh no that's not cool but thank goodness he got back the same number.

Well I must say good night. I am off work for the next 2 days after working the whole w/e. I am really tired.

Let hope to hearing some great news from KGN tomorrow.

Be Blessed.
By the way O&O where did you send your package? Did you email or mail the package?
Can you send me the address? I would like to mail the package.

The 490 is part of the total cost of 1040. There is nothing additional to pay if the full 1040 was paid. If you only paid the 550 to file the papers and for sponsorship approval then yes you would need the pay the extra 490 rprfr. Sweetieq paid all she needs to pay because she paid the 1040

I hope the lawyer didn't tell you that it was 1040 plus the 490. If he/she did then I'd be making a phone call asking where the extra money went!!

Quick question about when you pay the rprf as I paid all mine up front - if you pay the rprf later do you just email the reciept to the VO office? A friend of mine is asking and I said I'd find her the answer

Thanks:)

LANDING STORY

Good Night Everyone,

So I've been quite busy as you can see but I've now gotten the time to give you all my wonderful landing story. I'm ecstatic to type this as I remember reading everyone else's and couldn't wait for the day I would be able to type my own. I'll keep it short, simple and sweet.

I knew his flight was set to arrive for 19:20 through Air Canada so I left my house at 7pm. Before that, I left work half day to prep that house. And cooked up a storm and had to clean parts of the house I didn't get to finish. I completed the cleaning by 4:30pm, ran to daycare, picked up my son and then I started cooking. I made chicken wings and macaroni pie. My husband said he wanted Canadian Food, so that was the best I could come up with. Fed the baby, we showered and left out at 7pm. I ran to the car wash to clean up the car and made my way on the 401. I actually even ended up getting off at the wrong stop. I was so happy that I wasn't even paying attention.

We arrived at the airport by 19:40. I parked and we walked in and waited. My son and I definitely were overdressed but I wanted my husband to see us looking better than ever. At about 8:15pm, there he was walking out. I ran up to him and kissed him all over. He looked into my eyes and I looked into his and all we could do is kiss each other and hug each other all over. My son looked up trying to catch a glimpse of his face. He finally realized it was his father after a closer look. At only a year and a half, he remembered his father, he smiled and looked at his father in awe. It was beautiful. We drove the 30 minute home drive home and he looked around and said "i'm back in Canada". He smiled with joy. and I smiled looking at him.My son said Daddy over and over. It was wonderful. He stated they didn't give him a hard time, they welcomed him into Canada, gave him his PR documents and sent him on his way. My husband drove me to work the next day, went and renewed his license, got his health card, although they advised him it will not be active until Sept 2013. Got his SIN and he's good to go. He now is on the hunt for a job. So we've been sending out many resumes. We had a great weekend, went to a lot of BBQs and enjoyed our family time together. I'm happy to have my man back in the house.

Thank you all again for your support. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you will all be reunited soon with your loved ones. :D

Woot Woot!!! SO happy for you tintin; and my eyes got teary when you mentioned your son and him saying Daddy.
Because that's what breaks my heart most of all with my husband not being here with our son.

I am sure hussy will get a job soon; and things will be great going forward girl!

Just an FYI there is no additional fee of $490, the 490 is part of the $1040 but you can defer the $490 until later.....you should never pay more then the $1040 to process the application (unless you need an ARC-then there is a fee of $400)

@sammy.....sorry i seen yours after I wrote this sorry!

Hey there, I paid mine later and I emailed the receipt to the VO office and faxed a copy, emailed the receipt to Mississauga and faxed a copy to them also. I called after two weeks to CIC Mississauga just to be sure it was on my file and it was registered. My last set of notes even had that it was paid and received.
