I just read that the united states did not close the visa office in kingston.....they only close the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) specialised government agency that oversees matters of lawful immigration to the United States.

Aww Nev im with u on that note sis but the last time i felt so fustrated with the process my hubby got the email for add docs to be sent in n my status then changed to in process n next day updates to medical results have been received so trust me its a sign an update is coming for u soon hun

Very excited today to say that hubby got a job!! He was hired today right here at the same hospital I work at
WHOOP WHOOP im ready for a 2nd paycheck comin in lol and hubby is happy at the prospect of being busy and out of the house and of course contributing lol...

and also, if you haven't guessed already, we are having a BABAY!!

due Halloween lol!! Hoping for a girl

@ Nev, I heard nothing for a year, and my notes (6 months apart) had no updates on them either and then bam! In process and PPR... you have gotten confirmation of med ext req so rest assured your process is finishing!!

I know KG requested an extension on my hubby's medicals but that's only because I asked them if he should re-do his medical because it expired in early January. It's been over four weeks which is more than enough time for them to have heard back from Ottawa. *sigh* I guess I have to go back to being patient...
