So many things that are frustrating about this whole thing, but we need it to finish this process up, so we wait.

Good Evening Forum Fam....

Hope everyone is keeping their hopes up and staying motivated.

Same thing happen to me, I paid for 7 business days and was suppose to get it back the Wednesday and it didn't come until the Friday evening. and they wanted to give me a bad attitude for call and asking if my certificate, that I PAID for, arrived.

Hi Ladies, ive been laying low for the past few days. So my husband still hasnt received his passport back. Im now starting to think this is due to his medical. His medical expired in Oct 2012 so we are well over the 15 month mark. After reading other peoples horror medical extension stories, im thinking this is what the hold up is. I saw people waiting up to 3 months for an extension. This whole immigration process is so backward. I regret not telling my husband to redo it back in october. Has anyone had a medical extension request?

Congrats Cee looking forward to reading your landing story. Tintin I'm glad your okay kingston needs to hurry up and get your hubby home. SheriB how are you doing?

Aww tintin, I'm sorry to hear that your hubby is STILL waiting for his passport to be returned. KG requested a medical extension for my hubby too and I hope it doesn't add a long wait time to making a final decision on our application. I would have rather paid $200 and had his medical re-done. It's a small price to pay to have our hubby's at home with us in Canada sooner than later. If I have time on Monday I'm going to call CIC and ask them how the process works and how long it should take. I'll let you know what I find out. I've read the posts about the re-medicals and the wait times are frightening...

When did they request your extension? And how did they let you know? I havent received anything stating this. Im only assuming. I would have hoped this would req this before ppr but immigration loves to make us suffer

Hey Nev! It's not as frightening as you think..

One of our members found out Kingston sent for an extension last week of November and got passport request a month later so no worries...this month is ur month!

Small update: hubbys home address changed this morning to his Canadian address

Yay! I'm glad your hubby's home address has been updated on the system!

Thanks for your support, Cee, it means a lot. This process is making me CrAzY!!!! Blondie told me about her experience so I'm hoping my timeline works the same!

I'm not sure when the extension was requested. On Feb 14, Kingston responded to an email I sent them and in it they said they applied for it but they didn't say when. I should be getting my GCMS notes this week so hopefully the date they requested it will be in them. I would agree that they wouldn't do a PPR prior to requesting a medical extension. I think you will hear something this week, tintin; hang in there!
