Jamgirl said:Well today is the day!
After waiting for 15 months, my husband is coming home!!
Just to fill you all in as I have not been on much lately...
On Christmas Day I checked my eCAS and saw that it had been finally updated to IN PROCESS on Dec 21. 2012. What a great Christmas present!! Our bring forward date was Dec 22!
Then on Tuesday January 8th at 07:45 my husband received the call for PPR!!! He called me in tears, "Baby we did it, we did it! I'm coming home!!!" I couldn't believe it was finally happening for us! At that time they told my husband they require him to sign a document and they are going to send him the document in the post. When he receives the document he is to sign it and send it back with his passport...
We waited two weeks for that damn document and let me tell you that was the longest 2 weeks of my life!!! It finally come, he sign it and sent it off with DHL on Wednesday Jan 23/13 and they receive it at 16:00 on Thursday the 24th... They put that visa in his passport quick quick times as sometime between 10pm Wednesday Jan30 and 7am Thursday Jan31, my file change to Decision Made and DHL tracker go crazy!!!! 4 days for visa!!!
He picked up his Passport yesterday morning from DHL in Mobay and right now he is in the air on his way to Canada!!!
At times I lost my faith in this process.... It is overwhelming and never easy. My file took 15 months, and 2 weeks, FOR NO REASON AT ALL!
Its ok to have bad days, just hold on to positivity and make small goals if need be. Good luck and god's speed to each and every one of you!
Congrats keke your journey is over now it's time for you to enjo with hubby for the rest of your life. May I ask if your hubby ever been to Canada? Why was the process so long? Please share his landing story when you do have time we would love to hear. You must be overwhelmed with joy with happy tears coming down your face when you see hubby walking through the airport gate
