Has hubby lived or traveled outside Jamaica, any previous marriages, kids outside the relationship???

My husband has never left the island, this is the first and last marriage for the both of us (as long as we keep God in the Centre of our marriage), we don't have any children yet (working on this every time I go and see him ). We just celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on Jan. 11,2013.

So far Kingston has only responded with the generic "No further action is required at this time". Our file has not been updated from "application received" . This is why I want to order my case notes. I just returned from Jamaica last week so I have the consent forms signed and I paid the fee online today. Just not sure which format to request.

Sooo here goes as promised. I want you all to know how grateful I am to those who have taken the time out of your day these past 7 months, who have shared their friendship, experiences, knowledge, inspiration, support, and now happiness in celebrating the last days of my immigration journey.

We have had good times and a few bad ones but what I've learned is that despite the mighty ups and downs, we have bonded by a common thread that has held and will continue to keep this group together; immigration. No matter our backgrounds, race, culture, sex, age, jobs, we here all have one main objective and that is to be reunited with our soul mates.

For the sponsors, all of us have flown repeatedly across the warm waters of the carribean sea to a breath taking island called Jamaica. We have exhausted every last vacation day, have stayed up on the phone til the sun came up, ran up our credit cards all for what? For the sake of Love....to be with the one person we are so CRAZY in love with. Isn't it crazy when GOD brought you both together that there was NOTHING unmistakeable about the face of LOVE? Wow......I have never met anyone of you in person but I admire each one of you for going through this process; your strength, your faith and your RESLIENCE to endure some of the most difficult days of your life you'll ever experience. That's what it's all about, to ENDURE, ENDURE, and ENDURE. Endurance to me is the distance and time in how long your can withstand the challenges of anything from the start to the very end without giving up or quitting.

Nothing good comes easy. That has been my mantra. I have never liked anything that came easy in my life and perhaps thats why I knew from the beginning, I could do it hence why God gave me the challenge. LOL. Boy was I in for a MASSIVE surprise!!! Though as equally important, He gave me somebody worthy of my ENDURANCE. This applies to all of you here whether you're the sponsor or the applicant.

I will never forget the day I met my husband. I was vacationing in Jamaica with my then EX of 9 years (on and off). The sun was setting in the beautiful west end cliffs of Negril and I was sitting on a ledge dangling my feet about 30 feet above the turquoise blue waters. In that very moment, I started talking to God. With tears rolling down my eyes, I asked him for my future husband. Told him I was ready and wished he would just introduce him to me already. LOL. I felt stuck because I was in a dead end relationship with EX and didn't know how to walk away without hurting him. But I realized that by staying, I was keeping us both from finding true happiness. That same day, I ended things with my ex and went to dinner......alone. Guess what happens next?? Just guess........

Here comes along my now very chattery, loveable, adorable and handsome husband. I was really annoyed because I was NOT in the mood to socialize, I wanted to be in a corner all night......ALONE! BUT, as much as I showed little interest in talking to him, he chatted away and chatted away and............chatted away. About what? About how lucky he was and that anything he ever asked for in life, he got. The nerve of this guy right? Like who does he think he is? What a nerd. Just leave me alone chatter box. But then after I left the restaurant and went back to my hotel room, something magical happened I couldn't wait to get dolled up, perfumed up, lip-glossed up and run back to see him!!!!!! My best friend, my everything. The rest is history

Now fast forward over 2 years later.....Jan 28, hubbie gets a passport request call. Our dream has finally come true. Our love has kept us glued and we have made Digicel $3,000 richer!

Hubbie told me on our wedding day, didn't I tell you I was a lucky man? I told God the moment I laid eyes on you that you would one day be my wife.

Isn't it funny, we both asked God for each other on the same day?

Please know that my response is not meant as an attack on you. I just did not like it!!! I am sure others do and certainly don't wish to dim any switches. I am just a bit protective of my brothers because some of the stereotype are unfortunatedly taken as truth to those who do not know. My brothers for years have had to endure disrespect in the form of jokes, and depending of their circumstance have had to laugh out loud which dying inside because of been the brunt of such jokes. I feel sorry for the writer who feels he can find funny in his slave name..good for him. I am sure he also makes a great oppressors aide. Question what is the difference between the electronic and physical GCMS notes? Is the same information included just a different format?

Hey there, you want to ask for the electronic files as this is what will give you an idea of where you are in the process. The physical files are a copy of the entire application that you sent to CIC Mississauga. This takes time from your process as someone in Kingston has to physically phototcopy everything in your file (don't quote me on this one but that is what I heard) I would be afraid my application wouldn't get put back where it was supposed to if I did that lol. Hope that helps you!

Thanks Maddants. I thought as much. As it relates to employment history, how do you think they verify that as I don't see them calling employers to disclose your business so I figure they confirm with the tax office.

the back ground and security checks.......are for the applicant...they sponsor check already been done....once the get the letter saying that the are good to sponsor someone the immigration dont have anything else to do with them unless they have to pay some fees..
