Feeling good here Jamgirl!!! Due middle of June and I will find out the sex of the baby in a couple weeks :)

So have your heard anything yet??? What's going on there? 17 months is approaching really soon!!!!

Hey..do you happen to know if you can send in your forms without the Option C? I am ready with everything but that and I am hoping I get it before hubby sends up all his stuff. I called them again this afternoon and they said one was mailed out.....but still not reach me yet.

Thats so exciting! Do you want a boy or a girl?

I am waiting on Kingston just like everyone else! They love to torture us lol.

As for the Option C: I did NOT send in my option C. Instead I sent in my original Notice of Assessment with an explanation as to why and my sponsorship approval was not held up by any means, in fact I was approved faster than the posted processing times...

Boy or Girl it doesn't matter as long as it is healthy

Make sure, if your going to do it that way, that you have a reason and you tell them why. I wouldn't say that my reason was a "great" reason, but I explained it none the less

Yes do it that way. You may end up being in line for the whole 17 months. Now would you really want to take the chance of the long wait while they investigate every corner of your life?

The guide explicitly says the sponsor needs to provide an Option C. The only reason why you wouldn't be able to obtain an Option C likely would be for not filing the most recent taxation year and how lovely it would be to impress on CIC that you may be hiding something from them.

Number of dependents
Owed money to Social Assistance
Marital Status

Both the sponsor and PR applicant go through checks throughout the whole course of the application process.

I am hoping that it is here by the time I file....so well see if the CRA is faster sending something than CIC is answering our PPR request for our husbands!!!!!

Option C is a copy of your last Notice of Assessment for the most recent tax year. You can call CRA at 1-800-959-8281 and request it to be sent to you for free. Takes a couple to a few weeks to get to you. On the check list it says you need to submit it with your Sponsor papers and if you do not provide the print out you need to explain why.

just contact CRA and ask them to send you the option C and they will send it in the mail right away!

It is the long form of your notice of assessment for your most recent taxation year.

You may contact CRA to obtain an original copy. CIC requires that you mail in an ORIGINAL copy of it HOWEVER if you do not mail this in, you would need to provide an explanation. I would recommend sending it in as it provides detailed information on (see my note above) and could delay your processing in both stages.
