P.S. The FBI certificate is like any other police certificate. It must not have been issued more than 3 months before the application was submitted, and it is valid for one year. It does NOT expire in 3 months.

Well a good evening to all. Just thought I would give everyone an update.
My husband got the phone call on Monday to bring in his passport, BC and MC.........so he brought them to Kingston on Thursday. He met with an officer and she said that he had passed everything, there was nothing more to do. She also said he would get a call shortly to come and pick up his VISA.
This just shows that when things start happening, they can happen really quickly.
So I suggest you all get done what you need to get done now, because.............
YOU WILL BE REUNITED WITH THE ONES YOU LOVE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!!!

A lot can happen in the 3 weeks before Christmas so everyone keep the faith!!!

Since this is the weekend and we have nothing to talk about immigration wise, I have an off the topic question non-immigration related. When I went down to JA, my hubby took me to a friends house in Balaclava (i think that is how you spell it), well a lady there was cooking something on the fire and when it was done she offered me a piece. I forget the name of what she called it but I called it HEAVEN! LOL it was a cake/pie/sweetbread kind of thing that was made with yams I think and it was sweet like a cake. Does anyone know what this was and if so does anyone have a recipe for it and also can you only cook it on an open fire or can you make it in an oven? I have soooo been craving that HEAVEN for awhile and I won't be going back to JA anytime soon so I wanna make it lol
