Missing true words. I think what Homesoon(sooncome ;D) said the other day was so true. You cant really compare your case to others. I must admit seeing other people get done in less than 5 months makes you get your hopes up a bit but I have to drag my self back to reality.

I am so glad I found this forum and while I am sorry for all of you guys struggles it sure taught me a lot. I thought that 3 months was the max it took to get approved boy was I wrong


Missing: You have all of your fees and documents and redos in right? so all you are waiting on is the PP request?

Jamy, I got a feelin that you are gonna here something real soon. You are always positive and that will assist you in the little wait. I hope we ALL get good news soon but that is in God's hands and his heart. Even if they ask for the originals that will be a sign that they are getting close, doesn't seem to speed the process any by sending them in with the app. Those that sent the original still had to wait forever to see an update.

Hey all Good Afternoon all you beautiful people....

i sent my application to CIC Miss March 20th 09 and got approved on April 1st 09... 10 days...

hubby got passport with visa Nov 2nd 09 and landed in Canada Nov 3rd 09 ..... so just under 7 months if you take into concideration the 1 week that it may have taken for the file to reach KG.

its so hard to not compare you case to other peoples..... its the only thing we have to go by.... i was a fiend on trackitt during my process - and i studied that bad boy like no other... i guess it helped me put my background in stats into practice.. lol.

One thing that it did do (comparing files) was make me think that my file was going to take waaay longer than 7 months... during the whole of 2009 (for those on our forum) no one except Junor got through within the 7 months time... everyone else was 10 months or plus....so i just assumed that mine was goig to take longer than 7 months... then me, frequent and soso all got through within 7 months time within a few weeks....it was very exciting and really boosted our forums hopes that yes.... the 7 month time line they give may actually be legit....

so even though i agree... it might not be the best thing to do (compare).. its still so so so hard not to... so the best advice is to prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

Jamwifey - hatewaiting also sent originals with her file - not sure the progress of her last thing i knew she had been given AOR and was waiting on document request / next step.

KMC - to answer your question way back.... you can most def. go on trackitt now and start to fill in your info... all you needed was a date that you sent off your original application.

Canuck have you put your info on Trackitt?

hubby picked up passport on Monday,visa was dated January 26th which was the day after he dropped it off..took them 6 weeks to get their crap together..it just amazes me that stuff like that happens..they should be more organized..anyways he is coming home so I will let it go...2 more sleeps and he is here..!!

I totally agree...it is so hard not to compare....I filed in June 17th, approved in July 16th....KG got our file July 28th and we received our AOR in November, request for Selection Certificates in December...so I was comparing my file to everyone on the forum and said ...yup looks like he will be here end of Jan or Feb....now we are in March and I saw our first wedding anniversary come and go and still nothing. I had everything done on our file, I even met with an immigration officer here and she told me if I pay all fees upfront it will take 2 months off the filing. All I can say is that I kept telling myself not to get too anxious....but now when I see so many files done so quick on this forum ...it becomes really hard not to wonder what is going on with my own file....it really eats at you everyday and then you have your friends and family asking you "have you heard anything yet, when is he coming up??" I feel so frustrated because I can say is I don't know! When I finally found out that they only started processing our file October 22...I was like OMG....our file sat for 3 months with nothing happening...3 flipping months on a desk not even looked at and here I was thinking 3 months down another 3 or 4 to go.

I am trying to stay positive with all of this and hope for the best but it really takes a toll on everything in your life. Only thing I say as everyone has said before another day closer!!!!!

FYI on ecas it said that my file did not start processing until middle of June ( i was vex when i saw this date - i thought the same thing.. they didnt start until June so i needed to count from June on)... so that would have been 2.5 months after they received the file... even though they did receive my file early April.

Either way... KG is all over the place... have you sent an email lately?

Chelley.. same here.. hubby was here in Canada and it still said in process... lol.. it took them a while to change to decision made.

All i do is compare....for what ever reason it gives me peace of mind. Even when someone gets through really quick...i look at the positive, at least it means they are moving, and one more person gone means more time to work on my file. I was saying to my husband the other day...i dont know what i will do with my time when he is here, if i am not talking to him or online i am trying to think and compare in my head. Comparing consumes my thoughts, but for what ever reason it gives me hope...hope that it will soon be over as some people have gotten threw in like 5 months and hope that even if it takes years it is worth the wait as i have seen happen on here many times.

I am counting down for this monday, it is the big meet and greet with my parents and his in JA, can't wait to see hubby and can't wait to see the interaction of my parents and his...should be a fun trip

I know he wont be back with me this trip...his med only got done last thursday....but i am hopeful he will be here between April and May and that is ok with me....but knowing his time should be coming soon has made me more anxious....every day feels like a week.

I am back to work and its so hard to do it with out my hubby b/c it was always me and him working and now i am a lone doing it anyways a girl have to do wat she have to do to keep the family togather even if the other haft is a way.

Thank you KC..yes I sent an email at the end of February.....got the same reply as everyone else...do not contact us for 60 days from this email. Oh well...spring is here and weather is looking fabulous and maple syrup is being made here. Pancakes with fresh maple syrup!!!! and don't forget sugar on snow!!! oh ya and maple butter on toast...and maple syrup pie...ok enough now 8)

I am not good with everyones names etc....and I am sorry for that....I hope everyone travelling to JA, you have a great time and for those hubbies/wives that are on their way up to Canada to live ...I wish you safe travels
