I know the frustration you are feeling....BUT how do you see it as you failed? Its no ones fault the waits we incure....just the luck of the draw....keep your head up and dont cause ur self unessessary headaches....because you need to stay healthy for your husband and children if you have them..

I have been waiting for 11 months some ladies for 12....... 15 months....some havent even got to live with there husbands yet...i havent had my husband home for 3 years.....Its really hard BUT you have to keep strong and hold your head up....not just for your husband BUT for yourself.....

Fight it of ladies and gents keep smiling keep laughing keep thinking of your wife or husband sweet face it will bring you through

OK...I know this is SOSO's day....BUT I have to let everyone know.....Hubby got a call today....they want him to fax his "Selection Certificates" and if he cannot fax them. He must bring them into KG, and what I also want to share with everyone today...is that I was just sitting here at home and I was feeling so blue and down and I started crying and then the phone rang with hubby telling me his news. I will not get my hopes up but OMG how I wish, OH HOW I WISH!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SOSO AND HUBBY...WELCOME TO CANADA!!! BAM BAM BAM...BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER!!!!!

Good News Rosemel......Any update from KG i s good news. Means they are working!

What are selection certificates by the way?

OH thank you Jam...."Selection Certificates" cost us $450.00 more and it is because I live in the Province of Quebec and we are special here. It is something special our government has with Immigration. I am not sure what exactly it is...all I DO know is it cost more money...lol. Oh and also they have to learn to speak french.

Lonely..thanks for asking ìf I am good....I did not want to whine...but I have been very sad lately and down....I went through the task of decorating for Christmas ...as everyone on my street is all lite up already..so figured I better get to it....but I really feel strange this year and not dealing well with trying to be festive, plus hubby is SO sick and it hurts that I cannot do anything to help him, this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do being apart from him.

Rosemel I share that same feeling too...i am not festive either and havent been for 3 years...BUT as everyone knows i have children gotta put on the face for them...LOL....Rosemel congrats one the UPDATE any news is Great news........Keep your chin up girl...and know this to will pass...its so very hard being away from the ones you loved and the only tru fix is being together........Just stay strong rosemel i KNOW you can do it

Ok I was curious so I looked it up...

Certificate issued by the Québec Minister responsible for immigration to a foreign national wishing to settle permanently in Québec who meets the selection conditions and criteria determined by regulation.


So in Quebec they have special criteria that you have to meet and that is decided before the actual application for PR takes place. Interesting. I learnt something new today....


I am really not feeling Christmas either. But my daughter is excited about it so I have to do it all up for her. Hubby wont be here...

But we all have to stay strong and positive. This will prob be the last Christmas we all will spend away from our spouses.

I know just how you feel and its a mixture of soooo many feelings, happy, excited, anxious, emotional, giggly, it makes you feel like a likkle kid again. To be honest, now that its been a month since hubby is here i can say it is exactly like how we imagined, so rest assured knowing that all the things you dreamed about and thought about and imagined WILL happen and its the best feeling seeing your dreams unravel before your own eyes!

Rosemel - Congrats on your special request from KG - so glad you got a call to lift your spirits! Just what you needed. God is good! Too bad you have to pay the little xtra money for the application - i know in hyndsite its totally justifyable since its your husband - but i am suprised QC has to pay for something extra than the rest of Canada - usually its the other way around... even when you take your bottles back to the liquor/beer store you get more money than the rest of the country!!

I am getting my tickets to redemption today - Dec 12th Beenie Man and a whole slew of other artists - gonna show hubby we can gwan here in Canada how we gwan inna JA - MADDDDDDDDDDDDD! him will be happy to hear pure reggae all night long!

just wanted to hail up the mothers them. True when i was sour grapes i could be sour grapes for as long as i wanted - never had to put a smile pon my face for no one. I couldnt imagine sitting there feeling down and then having to just put that all aside and be super mommy for the pickney. I would feel like i got a split personality or something jumping from one emotion to a next. Big up yoursleves. Holidays must be extremly tough - but i love all of your strength to gwan and put up the tree, and lights and stocking and what not! I love that. Its inspiring. Your kids will love you for it.

HA HA HA....Oh KC you made me laugh.... Beer store ...I had not thought of that is some time since I have not been to ontario for almost 2 years... We can go to our local corner store and get beer and booze...and return our empties at the same time...lol. AHHH that will be something to get used to when we move to Ontario...and we can buy beer until 11PM and again at 8 AM. Thank you for putting a smile on my face.
