Afternoon, ladies, CharlieD glad to hear that your hubby is going well. What i would like to know is how long after the ppr they return it with the visa

Hey DG. I got mine back 2 weeks later. AliCat's hubby waited 2 months. It varies with KG, and recently the backlog has seen it vary a lot more than normal. Estimate anywhere from 2-6 weeks, I should say.

Akinna, I forgot to address your concerns in my previous posts. (Still sailing on the cappuccino wave, can hardly sit still). Fill out the new background form. Some persons have been asked to re-do theirs even though there was nothing wrong with the original ones, because CIC made some changes to the forms last year. I don't think you have anything to worry about. As long as all the information corresponds to what you put in there originally, you will be fine. Your hubby has been asked for the RPRF, it is highly unlikely they are going to turn you down now, so listen to your hubby.

I know there is another outlet where you and others get together and talk about us here. How can we come on here, be open and honest when in the back of our minds we have to contend with wondering if we're going to be talked about behind our backs by the very people we are looking to for help. You tell me, how would that make you feel? Or do you even care?

Yes there is a facebook group that everyone has been invited to join. Nobody is talked about behind their backs. Have you requested to join the group? If you have not, and you are not a member, please do not assume things.

I do care. I care that there has been so much drama it has caused people to leave the forum. I don't like it. I also don't like coming on here and reading negative things. I found this forum and thought of it as a breath of fresh air but it is hard to continue those feelings when this stuff happens. I am trying to keep the vibes not encourage more drama. In saying that, if you would like to comment to me further, it would be nice if you could do so in a private message.

I think it's poor taste and I thought we were here to conduct ourselves in a manner where people can come for advice and sharing of our immigration experience, not indulge in some twisted sense of putting it all out there. Yes you are correct that this is an immigration information forum
But honestly why does life have to be taken so seriously
This forum was once full of life and people sharing jokes and laughing
Sharing heart ache and celebrations
My comment of nice seeing humour on this forum again is what I said and I wont take it back
I come on here to escape from real life for a bit be in a situation where there are people who are going through the same experience as myself
Gain some knowledge and yes let our some frustration when I have no where else to turn
But honestly as of lately I feel like I have to walk on egg shells here

I applied for my GCMS notes July 7th I believe, I got them on August 7th. 30 days to the date. There was not much on them, which is probably a good thing.

They did note at the bottom that they had received my pics and travel itineraries which I'm hoping is a good indication that they are not questioning the validity of our relationship.

Hope that helps JG, I think you're waiting for yours as well.

Yes, I discovered that "bland" GCMS notes can be a good thing. Mine said pretty much the same, as I've written before. It generally means that there are no red flags waving at the IO over what they've seen, and that background checks are going on to confirm the details of the applicant's life. Sometimes it's really just a question of waiting out KG. Some days I could do without the "soon come" attitude, but this is Jamaica we're dealing with here, LOL. They are a bit like Armageddon, those visas. We know they'll get there, but only God knows exactly when they will arrive!

You were right behind me so you shouldn't be much longer. I hope you get more than I got, my hubby was so disappointed that it didn't tell us much more. I tried to sell him on no news is good news..not convinced it worked.
