Anada...I know quite a few people that have been "held up - in process" because of immigration consultants...sad but true...one consultant even went so far to dig up dirt "charges" so that cost the sponcer more time and money...a consultant doesnt care about your file as much as you do, period! they get paid upfront... :-X

anada, I went through a consultant as we had some red flags on our app and wanted to get it right. That was back when we were all pretty green and were learning by trial and error, the advice you get here is every bit as good as the consultant would give you, towards the end I was telling them what to expect. I have no regrets hiring one but know they didn't speed up the process. With my app the consultant charged as we successfully completed each phase. $1,000 to start, another $1,000 once the VO recieved the app and the last $1,000 once visa was approved, the piece of mind was worth it to me, but not req'd. The good advice I did get was to show quality, not quantity with pics and letters and proof of continued relationship as they were IO at one point and suggested that the IO's hate sifting through boxes upon boxes of the same stuff. You're in good shape and the $ saved will allow a couple extra trips which is the best proof of all.

you are right about using that instead to go down, or amongst other things help out with things like food, etc. Especially with how tax price gone up by 16.5% on even FOOD!!

Hey Ready, I am about an hour from Toronto in Brantford, just past Hamilton!!!!! Like country hick town but I like it !!!! The city is too busy for me, we come down about once a month or so to go to the flea market and Danforth market.....we will definitely have to hook up sometime for sure!
