Good Morning my peeps,

Wow what an exciting weekend we had, Starting with Friday night, my daughter and I head off to the airport where my best friend and her two daughters along with her husband showed up to greet hubbs, the girls made a Huge Poster welcoming Uncle Sherlock- Hubby had a long day, he had traveled to KG from Sav, then onto his flight to Toronto then layover and finally- Calgary..He came off the plane smiling away, was so good to see him we all gave him a huge hug and home we went, my daughter had made him some shrimp fetticini and he was hungry..
He said he no problems in Toronto, everyone was friendly they welcomed him to Canada, he said he got through in 5 minutes, It was a late late night, Saturday morning I had to work for a few hours but when we got home we went driving so he could see the city.

Sunday was fun we had a little party for him, music dancing food and family all got to come see him, everyone got a little drunk and they just loved him! Monday was a super busy day we got all his paperwork in order, his SIN, Alberta heath Care, School assesment,Bank account, he's registered in school, and he's very happy about it he got a phone call last night about starting a job today, so 7:00 am I dropped him off on site and he's workin...he was so happy about actually working we bought him a lunch kit, boots, and a thermos for his coffee. My husband is a working Man

It's been so wonderful having him home, what an amazing feeling to be able to go to sleep and wake up with the person you love everyday~it's so refreshing and rewarding!

I'm not feeling well at all today, burning up with fever and seriously swollen tonsils...and I'm overly tired, havent slept much at all this last week!

KG, I love you!! now lets get some more fams reunited!!

Suki, Your reunion story made me all teary eyed. It's so beautiful to see families and friends reunite and your story is no exception
Made me even happier when you mentioned Sav (Sav girl here) and know how strenuous going from Sav to KGN is and all that travelling, I gotta give Hubby his props for still arriving with a smile on his face and wanting a tour too, I would have been miserable

LOL yes that's wat I'm saying, props to Mr. Suki for being in a great mood. My hubs was so tired, he just wanted a tour of the bed. As yet he hasn't expressed an interest in seeing around the city, mostly driving around submitting his resume and driving me to n from work lol!

Good afternoon and congratulations to all of u have your updates and all of the people who have reunited with there families or are about to. Reading your stories is an inspiration to us all who are still wating for our turns to come. I've been trying to stay busy to keep myself from going crazy but its not working.
OMG I am stressing so much I have no clue what to do its been now 53 days since I sent off my application and still have no clue on what is happening my the website says processing time is 89 days so I am looking at the 2-3 week in june before I hear some thing this is absoulty ridiculous
I do not understand how the process can take so long hear in Canada
The least immigration could do is give people some kind of implication that there applications are there in the possestion
I try to keep busy but how can I do that when this is about my family finally being ruinted
If there were not children involved I would seriously just give up my citizenship and move back home

Omg I just realised how ungrateful and selfish my email sounds considering there are people who have waited longer and have been waiting for longer than myself

Hey Ready, I truly understand where you are coming from, I am going on about 68 days myself now and it gets nerve racking sometimes but we just have to keep the faith. I went down to Jamaica to see my hubby and to have to see they way he is living right now really breaks my heart but my faith, hope and belief that we will be together soon gets me through each day. If you ever need to vent, just email me, we all need someone that we can vent with together.

@Ready - This process is like a roller coaster, it has its ups and downs and it is nerve wracking the whole time. We are here for you through this. We all need a chance to vent, lord knows I have. But we will never judge you for it. It doesn't matter how far along in the process you are, it feels like forever.... so try to cheer up... smile, or find something that makes you smile, it will make you feel better... and try and keep optimistic... remember that CIC will not always stay at 89 days... next week it could drop down to mid 80's and then low 80's the following week... just trying to help be optimistic

Ready, take some deep breaths and say your woo-sahhhh's. ;D Waiting is hard, but it's all forgotten once your hubby is home and living your lives together is your reality, not your hoped-for dream. The time has extended at CPC-M, but look on the bright side: the times coming out of KG lately are fantastic! Busy yourself with preparing for your lives together, don't just wait for it, and you'll see it'll go a little faster the more positively you approach it. Lots of persons here have been in your shoes and felt how you feel, and understand how it goes. You're not walking this road alone. So cheer up, and keep on truckin'!
