@Ready...Welcome Girl. Your just getting started. However just like Jamgirl. I got am email from immigration about 3 weeks or so after submitting my application and then a letter 2 months later stating I was approved as sponsor. These people are filled with information so don't be afraid ask away.

At the time last year the Dr. in Mobay charging 13,500 or 13,000 so mi nuh know...

The DMP in Mobay charges $10500, that's what I paid in December. My stuff was mailed off on time and everything is good as it regards my medicals.

@ relaxgurl U sure, blood test and x ray cost about that a little more combined.

I wish I knew about this forum when I was filling out my paper work
I had so many questions and no one to help me
I swear you would think family and friends would be a little more supportive
This is a choice that I made but none of them seem to understand how much we love each other
They were all good for the 4 years when I was in the long distance relationship traveling back and fourth
But now it seems everyone is for whatever reason a trying to discourage me from this process
I keep hearing negative comments from all my friends about him leaving me (cause a only visa him a look)
It’s now reached the point where I keep my business to myself cause none of them don’t understand
Really sucks !!!!! Oh dear here I go none of you don’t even know anything about me and I start running off my mouth already

Soo sorry I am just really frustrated

sheri that is what we paid too, and hubby was not charged for tattoo, he has one on his arm..and the doc even asked when was it that he got it. Sherib, you wouldnt know until much further along in your process whether all is well with the medicals, this doc in particular was famous for hanging on to the docs and not submitting on time....if you read back you will know why!

I even called Mobay and called her out on it, did not want any foolishness going on with hubbys med docs.

well 8 months exactly today since we filed our application!! honestly for me went by pretty quick, so a passport and visa next week or so would be fine by me...we'll take it!

Ready, I wouldnt pay much attention to what people have to say...if you see red flags then you need to address them, but if you know you have a love pure and strong then doesnt matter what people think, having a support system is important..and this bunch of people here are full of that!! so enjoy your time here =) 4 years is a long time, I'm sure by now you know it's right.

Ready, nuh worry yuhself! That's what we all here for, SUPPORT each other. Im sure most of us, if not all of us have come across people who feel that every jamaican man is lookin for farrin and jus interest in papers. nuh tru. It is hard to swallow, especially hearin it from people who we love. The only thing I think when I hear it now is, "we'll see". Jus have faith in ur relationship and nuh worry yuself bout da badmind people dem....

Yes the police stn is on sunset Blvd across from Gloriana right before you hit Bottom rd, (Gloucester Ave)...easy to find, just tell him to ask where the police stn is near bottom rd, and they will direct him...If he coming into bay from trelawny ends it is on the left hand side, if he coming in from hanover or negril ends it is on the right side.

Police check takes a while to come back, while medical he may have to go back twice. make him do the pc now before the medical so he can get back everything one time. Then courier it all to you. They will give him the paper for you to add in the application. I suggest you photocopy it once you get it so you have proof that you sent it. I suggest if he close enough he do his medical in Ochie...this has been mentioned before, but not sure if you know...DO NOT USE THE DMP IN MOBAY FOR MEDICAL...

thats the plan hes going in for PC Monday, then Medical following Monday....I am also have him pay the extra to have the service expedited, cause God knows employees down there can move slow as molasses when they ready.


What DMP in mobay??? Please do tell. Also for Mobay, thought they only had one Immigration medical office, per parish?

Mobay is closest to him....closest Parish to get things done.

Anada my application went in all missing things too I spoke with immigration and they said mine may or may not be sent back they told me I could send it in without the other 1/2 payment and there wouldn't be a wait so unsure who to believe??? But seeing as the waiting time is so long just to open my envelope it is better to send it all together then waiting for them to open different pieces you mail back in

that exactly what im saying...from now till the end Apr 24, my hussy has that time to pick up the last hew things that are required to complete out application.

I agree makes no sense rushing him...we want to make sure we have it all, and he can send it to me one time, one payment, and we're done!!!!

all i need is PC, Medical...and what 8 Immigration photos...(so it states). that is it. I do plan on paying the whole fee one shot, cause i dont want to prologne anything longer ....

HAD OF OF ONLY KNOWN i cold have started this from even before we were married...but them times he didnt even have a piece of ID to work with...so we've come a long way since then i guess lol

Chickie, even though u did that, and they gave u that info, I am warning u guys against sending in incomplete application. I don't care what the immigration ppl told u, even sending in the fee piece piece causes delays. I really wish they would give solid proper advice instead of wasting you precious time. I am only telling you guys this to minimize your wait time. Why chance it?

Mi memory nuh good lol I just rmember it was cheaper than the one in Ochie, however with the problems that woman give sometimes, I didnt want to risk...

It could be that Kgn has access to certain things that mobay doesnt...EVERYthing seems to take longer, cost more or what not in bay then in town..but still...mobay to di wherllll lol..old n pop down, crazy traffic but still my home

Hubby just checked his receipts from his medical not sure which receipt is for which (ie. xray/labs etc)

1. J$3,500.00
2. J$4,500.00
3. J$2,950.00

Not sure which one included tat fees, but that is what he paid that day J$10,950 in all...

We got married March 26 and it take us til July to receive ours from Kingston... from that it take us so long to apply for his PR... KMT
