Hey guys. At work today I seen two immigration officer come into the condo I work in. They said that they are here to check to make sure a resident reside here. So I said, when my husband arrives would I have to get visit also to verify that he lives with me. He said maybe where is your husband from. I said Jamaica, he said oh they are moving quickly with the application now. Then he said Kingston seems like it take about 9 months to complete. Well let us pray and hope this is right

Good morning,

My Husband just sent off his daughters application, could someone let me know the current processing time for
when the sponsor gets approval? When I did my husbands, it took about 2 months....

Oh how I hope they are right

Thank you so much Kem you don't know how this changed my spirits.
Love you for this; optimism at its best and that is exactly how we all must feel.
We have a whole new world ahead and God will make this possible!
A God we say.... I've always been told to think positive and anything you want in life, it will come once you believe in it. And I believe we will all soon get through this difficult time. And you are most welcome with your kind words towards me... Thank you

Yes. The minute you step off the plane connect to wifi. It was beyond stressful for us because my stepdaughter didn’t turn her phone on so we had no contact at all and the worst part is she had two flights because we’re all the way in Alberta

Just did this. So our application was submitted to Ottawa on February 1st and my stepdaughter was here June 29th so it was quick for us. The didn’t have to request any extra paperwork so that helped. Also her mom had passed away so I think that helped but I could be wrong. Good luck.

@MixedChick92 this is my timeline for dependent sponsorship
AOR1 Feb 01, 2018
Medical request - March 16
Kvo started processing- April 9th
Passport requested - June 12
Passport return - June 27th.

We had to drop off new pictures ( original pictures that we sent were passport pics so we had to send the PR Card size picture) and the handed over the passport on the 27th once the received the correct size photos. She landed in Canada in June 29th but the immigration officer didn’t sign so we had to go to the border on the 7th of July and that’s what’s listed as her landed day.
