Unfortunately it's been a year were June 2017 applicants lol. My husband and step child I filed for. Waiting to see if I hear something. The landing fee hasn't been ask either.

Unfortunately it's been a year were June 2017 applicants lol. My husband and step child I filed for. Waiting to see if I hear something. The landing fee hasn't been ask either.
A number of things can delay an application. Background checks for one. I think certain applications are selected for more detailed checks. Also you have special circumstances that will cause the visa office to work more quickly.

Hope you don’t mind me asking, just curious what the status is on the GCKEY of the background check and eligibility? I am pretty sure that there will be no interview required and a PPR because of the length of time your app has taken
Also remember if it has gone over the normal processing time you can send them a case specific enquiry or call the CIC. Dont just leave your application to time that is looking abnormal
Good morning. Eligibility has never changed on gckey it says we are reviewing if you meet the requirements. In December 2017 background check changed to NA as they were reviewing the additional documents. In Feb 2018 the background check went from NA to in process with additonal documents changed to NA. I have emailed kvo and get the reply app is in process not much help.

Maybe if I was earlier on in the process I would. It's Wednesday and usually Kingston works on Wednesdays so I'm praying for my blessing today.

They called us on Monday saying that the biometrics on the picture was wrong so we took over the pics and went there and 9am and she picked up her passport and COPR.
Congrats... happy for you, hopefully the rest get to hear something positive before the month ends... fingers crosses
If it’s been longer than the time shown above since you applied, and you don’t see an update in your online application status, contact us using the Web form. That's what I've seen on there web site
They just sent me an email saying the will return the children's documents as soon as they "finalize" things.
I took a deep breath and said i am not going to answer to them. Because i have explained to them that there is no one to look after my children. What is a passport sitting in an office over 3 weeks doing? Especially for minors?
I had explained to them last year December the situation... They said a soon as i became landed then the children will be issued with immigrant visas. Up until now i dont know what they are finalizing since finalizing of PR for them was finalized in Etobicoke CIC. Email was sent May 28th to issue immigrant visa to my depedents.
God knows. I will give them one more week cos i dont know what they are finalizing

Kingston visa office did not process my childrens PR nor does it make a final decision on it because that was all finalized along with my PR.
All they have to do is issue a visa to one of my two children because they dont issue any counterfoil to US citizens which my daughter is. If i had refused to send my daughter passport and send her to the USA with my mother in july then it would be a problem. My son is 14 and he can kind of battle it out but to leave my 8 year old daughter to the elements is not something i am looking forward to

I am going to pray. I had explain to them return the passport in my two sisters name because my mother is leaving July. Then they send me an email about guardianship change noted. I had to tell them no no its not guardianship change cos 1 of my sister is pregnant which high risk and the other is going off to medical school. The name change is only some in Jamaica to collect the passport!
