Hi everyone, hubby and stepson landed yesterday. Everything went well. My stepson loves the cold while my hubby is crying lol he actually wore 2 jackets today. Thank you everyone for your help on this journey.

I can't explain how happy we are. It's bliss. Countdown to thursday....yahhhh. No they didn't get their SIN at the airport. Not sure if it's because Air Canada was delayed. The entire process took about 1.5hrs from the time the flight landed to when he came out. He used the orange free phone to call me when he got out then I parked and went in to get them. In all I paid $5 for parking lol

Can you explain more? Are you applying for husband inland and child is Outland? Or are you just applying for dependent child? When did you apply?

My husband is inland but they’ve asked for the child’s passport just want to know how long it takes for them to send it back

It can be two to six weeks by the time they return passport. Also depends on the queue of applicants waiting for the visa

So excited for you! I can imagine. I just want to hold them. Thursday countdown..Friday will be busy before holiday. Will have to apply for sin and health card. Do they apply for health card? Have to find out this. Cheap parking!!!

Question for those who already got there visas. What is the time frame to leave the country? if the visa is issued today for example is it valid starting from the date of issue. or is there another date

I got 7 months to leave but the immigration officer said its important that we leave before our police record expires. She mentioned that to me after she told me when I should leave by.
