I'very been very patient waiting so kind of annoyed.

I sent an email asking why and MP aked my husband to sign consent letter so he can call immigration tomorrow so hopefully we will have an answer soon...

We don' have any option if it' requird it will be done because his son lives with him doesn't know his mother much so we can' leave him in Jamaica.

Your stepson is fortunate to have you and his dad in his life. Hopefully your MP can get some answers/action on your behalf. What about ordering your gcsm notes? I read in another forum that it's only $5 and it helps because it shows the immigration officers notes.

I got the pre arrival letter the day after. The way they do things cannot be rationalized. I literally had to stop, lol. I have faith that our passports will be returned with stamps. At least I got christmas off this year. Im so happy cause it goes by seniority who can get it off. So I know hubby and 2 children are coming. Been focusing on getting things ready for them.

Same here, my hubby n 2 kids coming. Well nice u have Xmas off lol. I'm so occupied with getting stuff together, the days go by fast. I even went to check out schools. Im so excited. Really wanted them for Xmas thou.

Very late update but my husband landed safe and sound on oct 30th. He’s getting used to the weather and the food. Gunna find him a job soon. He didn’t get his SIN in Toronto so I’ll have to figure that out still. I’m so sorry to everyone who is being delayed and complications have been added. My prayers are for you all to be reunited at last.

just an update.. MP contacted immigration to ask for reason of DNA.

KVO advised MP that DNA is being requested for father and son because fathers name wasn't on the original Birth Certificate it was added 6 months after birth so they need DNA proof that he is his son and not added for Convenience.

I'm completely satisfied with that answer so the show must now carry on.. lol

Oh yes I'm surprised I got an answer so fast less than 24hrs.. My MP must have a lot of time on his hands or I'm just way too persuasive. 1 email and 1 phone call and bam done.. I should become a lawyer lolol.

But immigration should have just saved us all the time and state that in the DNA Request letter. Heck they could have request DNA from the beginning of this process sine that's the case..

he sure did.

Child has exact same Middle and Last name.

I actually just received email from KVO stating the reason MP told me. they said DNA is not mandatory but they can not proceed with child sponsorship application with out it.

Now that you mention this, I have not seen any PPR in the forum since this Wednesday. Yesterday no one got PPR around the forum and today I have not seen anyone getting PPR across all visa offices. Where did you see this information about them not issuing visas anymore?
