I guess you can only get a visitor visa if Canada has an economic interest in the visitor's country

which is sad because no matter what country you come from, you are still bringing money into Canada. From your flight ticket there, to your meals etc......stupid!

a 9 year old brampton boy sitting watching tv and shot through his windown DEAD
A 15 year old ocho rios boy goes to school gets in an altercation with a class mate stabbed DEAD
GUN man goes to a school in connicute shoots up the school 20 kids under the age of 10 DEAD

I completely agree with you Chickie. It's so sad that certain countries have preferred treatment when all visitors contribute to our economy.

even sadder still that it is the government and there is nothing we can do to change it......look at the Idle No More campaign.....people rising up against the government trying to speak their mind, it creates alot of hullaballo in the news but doesn't change anything in the end. We can't help who we fall in love with so why should we be punished because our hubbies countries don't have preferred treatment.

How true. As hard as it is, I wouldn't change who I fell in love with. Though I will wish the Canadian government gets with the times and makes efforts for equality in the immigration process. Especially regarding families.

Nothing new... Just that the application was transferred to Pretoria beginning of January.
