Anything we tell you here will be pure guesses.

A number of steps are still showing as pending in your application including eligibility and security. It is hard for any of us to say if it will just take a few days or week to complete these steps or if it will take longer. Work permit applications from the Philippines that are standard / have no complications are expected to take 8 weeks. Unfortunately your application does not fall in that category.

Also, your medical is still showing as being under process vs. complete. Until your medical shows as complete, there's always still some chance IRCC may contact you for more tests / more information.

Your best course of action is to make plans knowing that it's impossible to know when the work permit will be approved. There's of course also no guarantee that it will be approved. Until you have an approved Canadian work permit in hand, my advice to you is not to throw away the other job offers.
Thanks for your advice @scylla.

Hello,

Cam you please provide an update about your application after ircc asked for the report. My friend is kinda has a similar situation? Did you pass medical? Thank you

I receive email requesting for my nephrologist report as below.

"A report addressing history, physical exam findings, diagnosis, management needs and expected prognosis. Forward any additional investigations performed including previous serum creatinine, eGFR, renal ultrasound and renal biopsy if performed. Please advice renal outcome of applicants renal disease in the next 5-10 years whether renal replacement therapy (dialysis or transplant) is likely to be required and when?"

And also they asked to have a tuberculin skin test even though my xray is normal.

Is this hard to overcome? Does anyone here have the same situation or experience as I have?

Thanks

It is incredibly specific to the individual. Having advanced kidney disease is one of the top reasons for medicals to be refused.

It is still situational including the reason you needed a kidney transplant but your future medical costs will be considered even past the 5 years because you will likely need another kidney transplant relatively soon and likely multiple in a lifetime and you may need dialysis while waiting for the kidney. Doesn’t mean automatic denial. You should be aware that Canada does not have a national pharmacare program. How you access medication and how much of the cost your will be responsible will depend on the province, if you find a job that includes extended benefits and your income because there is some programs that provide coverage above a certain percentage of your income. Canada only has partial Medicare.

If I choose a province that has extended benefit then can I get full medicare?
Canada doesn’t have Medicare, and there is no such thing as full Medicare. What do you mean choose a province with extended benefits? As already described to you, extended benefits may be available to you through your Canadian employer‘s health plan. Coverage will be outlined in the company health plan and may not include certain drugs. You still need to be medically admissible.

There are certain provinces that cover certain medication but most also require you to pay to have access to that. In all provinces Canada has partial Medicare. You may also have to wait around a year to see a nephrologist.
