seems like me and you sent our applications around the same time
Sent June 11 and cic received it on the 14th of June for my wife.
The I was sent a letter in August telling me that my file was headed to nairobi
In September nairobi VO sent me a email telling me they have my application but they have to do preliminary review
They email me again on November 13 and tell me my wife is on the interview queue. Till now I'm still waiting to for that interview date

from the time I was approved as sponsor we did not hear a single thing until the letter last week so I have no idea if they did preliminary review or otherwise. Because they asked for her passport and have not said anything about interview, we are truly hoping that will be waived and the next step is simply for them to approve her PR status.

I've got a letter on august saying that my application has been send to the appropriate location which is Kenya, Nairobi but ever since that letter i dint get another i didn't get any letter saying anything about my application, what should i do? its been long, what website do you guys use that shows ur status about ur application, i need to know. today is february its been... 5 to 6 months that i haven't heard anything about my applictaion.. is this Normal .. plz i need answer .. ??? ??? ???

Yeah it is normal that you dont hear anything for so long and it depends on the processing time of the respective visa office.

While I agree with Acecube that it is quite normal. I would suggest whichever of you is in Canada call the CIC customer service number. They will probably tell you nothing is wrong and to be patient but just in case there is a delay with reason there would be remarks on your file which would be good for you to be aware of so you can address. When we were going through all of this, there was one point where they were waiting for us but took sweet time to request the info. If I had not called and asked, it would have been even longer.
