Just need an Advice or Guidance on Police Clearance Certificate.. Thank you

I live in Canada and I Sent my CEC file last week with an original copy of Police Clearance that I got from BSL Vancouver (they got it done from India my back home) . I just have couple of inquires:

1. Its 4 months old where as in Checklist Point # 13 it says "Police Certificates are generally considered to be valid for one year from date of issue".

2. Where as on the website it says "The certificate must have been issued no more than three (3) months prior to submitting your application.

So am i ok with the Police clearance or do I have to request for another one?

And also do CEC accept the Police clearance from BSL Vancouver?

This could lead to another police clearance being requested since the one you submitted is pass the 3 month mark. If its not costly to get a new one, I think you should get it. You can also wait for CIC to request new PCC and then submit. Wait and see what others have to say. Goodluck.

They are both true and compatible.

This means that if your application takes longer than one year to process, CIC could potentially ask you for a new police clearance.

This means that your 4 month old police clearance does not meet the requirements.

So am i ok with the Police clearance or do I have to request for another one?

Technically, you need a new one, tho it's OK to submit the old one with your application. As wessless says, you can either just go ahead and apply for a new one, or wait and see if CIC requests a new one (sometimes they'll just accept the old one). The "wait and see" approach, tho, means that if CIC does request it, then your application will be delayed...

And also do CEC accept the Police clearance from BSL Vancouver?

BSL is just the expediter, they do not issue the clearance.

Thank you jes_On... I meant to say that BSL Vancouver got it done from India Immigration Consulate. I had to send my passport and they sent the police clearance after month or month and a half (technically they got it done from India). So will it be acceptable or do i need to get the PCC from back home myself?.. Thank you so much for your replies though
