i quality tomorrow. all the application are in place.

I tried all the services the first available business day in Monday June 08. So if I drop off Monday morning will it be delivered by Tuesday

You may wanna call fedex and see if they can deliver Monday, I believe they work every day. They even have same day delivery which may cost you a fortune but may be worth it. Canada Post will not deliver next business day if sent from other provinces.

Adult applicants must now be physically present in Canada for at least 1,460 days (four years) during the six years before the date of their application, and they must be physically present in Canada for at least 183 days in each of four calendar years within the qualifying period. This is aimed at ensuring that citizenship applicants develop a strong attachment to Canada.

Adult applicants must declare their intent to reside in Canada once they become citizens and meet their personal income tax obligations in order to be eligible for citizenship.Among the many benefits of the government's citizenship reforms, the new provisions will deter citizens of convenience – those who become citizens for the sake of having a Canadian passport to return to Canada to access taxpayer-funded benefits that come with citizenship status, without having any attachment to Canada, or contributing to the economy.

Folks do u think all these 3 phrases means that after being Canadian we have to live in Canada for ever 6 months ? In a year if we claim taxes or healthcare ?

If u don't claim we can just live anywhere in the world right

I am not an expert, however I think that's not the way to interpret the clause.

That clause is so often misinterpreted that it is unreal.

Happily, judges have proper understanding of English and they know for sure that NOWHERE in the new law (or any other law) indicates that obligation.

Does the date application reaches CIC matters or the date they open the application. which one matters?

The date they open up your application and stamped on it RECEIVED ON XX.XX.XXXX

Individuals who submitted a citizenship application before April 1, 2015 will have a decision by March 31, 2016.Two questions;
1- is submitted means sent date or receiving date (mine was sent March 30 and received April 2)
2- what about applications between April and June, 2015

The date they will receive it will be stamped received. They may not open it a few days after receiving it

They can't stamp on application if they didn't open it.

Sure they can. They can stamp the outside of the package / envelope with a receive date.

What does CIC mean with this?

"New requirements for Canadian citizenship are coming soon

This could affect your application if CIC receives it on or after June 11, 2015.

Applications made using current application forms must be received by CIC on or before June 10, 2015, and be complete. CIC will not consider the date of mailing (postmark). If you cannot submit a complete application before June 10, wait to submit an application until on or after June 11, 2015. New application forms must be used if submitting an application that will be received on or after June 11, 2015.

"CIC WILL NOT CONSIDER THE DATE OF MAILING (POSTMARK)" What exactly do they mean with this?

It means, the date the package was mailed does not matter. Only the date CIC receives it counts and that will determine whether the old or new rules apply.

It simply mean that the date of when you mailed the application has no meaning. Only when CIC receives the application is what matters.

If you sent a package on June 10th and it arrives at CIC on June 11th, they will not accept June 10th as the official date just because you mailed it June 10th. They will accept June 11 as official date application will follow the rule. So your package will be returned if you mailed it June 10 and CIC received it June 11.

I will take a gamble on mailing my application tomorrow. If it is returned to me, will they refund the $630?
