Dear dbc,
If it were to be true, the sky may fall crashing down on us !!!!!
More so,leaving appart NDVO there are quite a few VOS who have already sent MRS to their aplicants.I DON'T think they will resort to this kind of unethical practice.SHOULD they venture out to do so,they will be inviting trouble for themselves,as it may prompt applicants to take legal recourse for redressal of their grievances.Yes,they may take shelter under large scale refusals on flimsy grounds ,but certainly not indulge in returning of applications as such.BY DOING SO , the GOVT will lose its credibilty within nd without the country.THERE ARE many PARLIMANTARINS of indian origins, they will veto govt's move at the very onset.I AM not sure wherefrom this horrendous new has emerged.DOES not seem to have solid gound to resurrect on.
ANY WAYS ,Friends We should wish for something good coming our way in the coming weeks !!
GOD BLESS ALL !!!!!

Prahar

The cause of concern is

they came up with a rule in 2005/6 not sure of the year in which prospective applicants had to submit a form only at the time of application and the supporting docs were sent when asked for

after keeping the forms for a year they sent a Blank return of forms not refusal for re application

similar discussion is underway now

Its a Political discussion there not a Bill till now

I dont think its possible,
If they mean to take such steps, they have a lot to face for futue immigration. this is not the matter of we as an applicants, its direct deal with a country to another country as well as matter of human rights. If a person thinks that they are not in a need of immigrants then they have mistaken. you see even if how worse the situation of EU today, however, they cant directly do anything for stoping migration. its two way relationship.
Lets see, what they will come up as,

This is what I think abt the matter,

God Bless,

I think its most foolish idea that they are still acepting application, even if such a massive backlog. No one is considering that option for any reason. at the same time they are trying to be purely professional as well being selfish to immigrants. that they need us as purely source of income nothing else. if we are no more good for their economy growth then we are no more in their use. I wish Indian policies stands the same for other nations.

hmmmm

should we be concerned :o :o :o

Not really,

We all are going to be alright

1 more possibility is there, they can say count the processing time as they shown in their official site from the processing date we get in jan, feb :'( :'(

Your MR will come in any moment from now. There is a guy from a thread who went in-process on 8 Mar 2012 and got MR already now.

So the indicator are encouraging that ur might just be around the corner.

Cheers

There is a very strange and shocking discussion doing rounds in CANADIAN Political circles

they are discussing a possibility blanket return of files without visa to applicants who are in the back log, there by effectively finishing the backlog through the back door

How successful they will be I dont know

Is it legally Possible dont know

Will applicants like us with processing date or In process be effected if this rule is cleared ?

there are parliamentarians against this rule too but will there will prevail is not certain

having an anxious time

Please add Input and opinion
it's a worry for pre feb 2008 apps but not for us...we r inprocess no more a part of backlog and further when except newdelhi all the chc's around the world r issuing mr and visas to prejuners, cic cannot follow double standards for us.......be +ve and logical we will be through it is just a matter of days
cheer up

Brother, I too do not want to make this blog negative but let me tell you some real hard fact.

In 2003 New Zealand eliminated backlog with bringing in new legislation. The most unfortunate thing was that THEY ALSO ELIMINATED APPLICATIONS WHOSE MEDICALS WERE COMPLETED AND WERE WAITING FOR VISAS.
Background:(New government was elected in New Zealand at that time and they took this decision. So, you never know with this politicians.)

IT IS NOT THAT EASY FOR THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT TO IMPLEMENT SUCH THOUGHT IN TO ACTION, IT TAKES LOT OF BIPARTISANSHIP EFFORTS AND IT IS NOT GOING TO BE OVERNIGHT DECISION. SO NO NEED TO PRESS THE PANIC BUTTON AT THE MOMENT.

got it we are not backlog pre 2008 are

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/statistics/data-release/2011-Q3/index.asp

well they have 2 clear all the backlogs as soon as possible.NDVO should do the processing as early as they can for the backlog applications.According to website they are taking double time for processing
