I became a Permanent Resident on June 7th, 2023. Before that, I was an international student with a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) issued on May 15th, 2020, and expiring on May 15th, 2023. Prior to becoming a PR, I traveled twice to my home country—from November 11th, 2021 to January 7th, 2022, and again from June 30th, 2022 to June 7th, 2023. However, I’m confused because the IRCC physical presence calculator shows only 319 days of absence for the second trip, which doesn’t match my calculations. According to the calculator, I will be eligible to apply for citizenship on August 28th, 2025, but I’m concerned that the software might be miscalculating my days. Could anyone confirm if this is accurate or advise what steps I should take? I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences!

Seems like your PGWP expired on May 15th and as per what I understood in IRCC's website they do not count expired status. Unless you were on implied status. Probably why you have 23 days discrepancy? You can call and verify, then adjust/count your days before applying just to be sure :)

I've been noticing delays across all kinds of applications, including citizenship grant applications, so I wouldn't be surprised if AOR letters are taking much longer than usual to issue as well.

Officially kicking off my citizenship timeline as I just received my AOR correspondence not too long ago.

yeah, but people applied after that date are getting AORs and some still stuck with no update, not even sure if contacting IRcc would be any help. Any thoughts?

Congrats! I applied on June 28th . No AOR yet
Thanks, you'll get it soon too. I think I said this in a different forum thread, but officers must be taking time off these last few months and are just starting to pick up from where they left things off.

same, submitted June 20th no AOR. Pretty sure no missing documents, plenty of buffer (1117 days) and travel history matches CBSA records. Oh well
