What were specific reasons for rejection as they must be addressed? Never seen a rejection for visiting family and being a tourist at the same time. Everyone who is visiting family is coming as a tourist.

Thank you for reply. if i apply now there would not be convocation letter that i can submit at time of application. Would submitting through webform would be ok later in January? i've seen people getting rejection if convocation date has passed. would it be better to include reason of visiting my spouse as purpose of the visit too? i've already order GCMS notes for them. below were the reasons & note from officer:
"I have considered the following factors in my decision.
The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for themselves (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
The purpose of applicant's visit to Canada is not consistant with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application.
Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at theend of the period authorized for their stay.
For the reasons above, I have refused this application."
Thank you for reply, check previous reply of mine i've included the rejection reasons. i've checked their previous application, travel agent showed itinerary of travelling places each day of stay in canada & also said they will visit daughter for holidays for a week, which coincides each other.
for financial reasons, i think they included too many documents of property, etc... & missed the main ones i need to double check as well. But they have more than enough fund showed for the visit.
So not sure what this has to do with itinerary.
- How long was visit?
- How much in cash did they show? They need to show bank statements with liquid funds.
- Temporary visit — What did they show that they will return?
Intended visit was 30 days.
For Cash >50k$. they showed summary of bank accounts with available balance, properties, tax returns etc.. but i do not see any bank statement... probably could be the reason.
they showed that they have job & residential property they will return to, their both children are here in canada,
Does IRCC say you need the convocation letter? If no, can't you say your parents plan to do blah and blah in their daily itineraries that would include your convocation activities? Even if you obtain the letter confirming your intent to graduate (as in the website below), it's still a plan - because you need to successfully completed your current course which would be take place later on.

No bank statement might be one of the reasons. Another is that both dependents are in Canada.
So do they have cash in the bank or not? They would have included 6 months of bank statements. Property and tax returns are not funds. Keep visit to 2 weeks.
Job letters included how long they have worked there as well as approved leave? So do they have income property? If so include tenant agreements etc. Residential property is not really a tie. If only ties are jobs, then ties to return are weak. Kids are both in Canada.
I do not see convocation letter as required document mentioned in IRCC website. what you mentioned sounds better approach. thank you.
They do. i will make sure they include the six months of bank statements with new application. ok i'll have visit limited to two weeks.
Job letter was included last application as well, i'll make sure they have approved leave this time. no tenants in residential properties. i know return ties are weak, what else can i show to return? previous travel history would help?
Previous travel history to UK, US, AUS and NZ are what is considered. So if they do then highlight that.

Sorry to hear about the refusal. Currently, Canada seems to be rejecting majority applicants from India, especially from a few states. I applied in late November for my family and myself and got the approval yesterday. But we have a valid US visa.A couple of things:l about your application:
- 10000 CAD is the general amount everyone mentions as the 'safe amount' to have in your savings bank account when you apply for a Canada visitor visa and a trip to about 15/20 days. This is obviously not the full amount you will spend but like I said 'safe amount'.
- the bank statement should clearly show your income (salary slips/pension) etc.
- I know that most people these days immediately invest the money into FDs/mutual funds, but still going by what you wrote, if you mentioned 150 CAD* 15 , that's very less.
- you don't need property income, but if your parents own the house, then you can show the property documents as strong ties. Also, if you have no family there and are solely going as a tourist, give a very detailed itinerary and roundtrip flight tickets as proof you will return.
