Sorry you had a bad experience. Hopefully it gets approved quickly after sending docs. You said you were in Canada for 3.7 years. When you entered Canada 3.7 years ago , had you stayed 6 months in a row? I understand within the 4 years you could only have stayed for only 3 months. But when the entry happened, it is possible for some people to have stayed 6 months plus. Some officers may ask a pcc in such cases.
Yes, it was probably due to that. before the current 3.7 years and after obtaining PR, I was in home country longer than 6 months and I think they wanted to see the PCC for the duration. The application wording could have been better.

Assuming you did not move immediately after getting PR? Technically they are not supposed to ask PCC if its less than 6 months in past 4 years/ if in same country where you applied PR from, but they can if it amounted to 6 months when you entered. I had not moved immediately after PR either. And i provided PCC for this very reason. I had added in explanation letter and just mentioned that it was there if needed. Dont worry, its only a matter of time.

Please find below my timeline for family application:
June 24 2024: Application Filed (all family)
June 24 2024: Additional information required (PCC request)
Aug 13 2024: Background completed (only for me)
Aug 22 2024: Citizenship test scheduled (both)
Aug 28 2024: Citizenship test Completed (for me)
Sep 8 2024: Citizenship test Completed (for my spouse)
Sep 24 2024: Fingerprints request (for my spouse)
Nov 11 2024: Fingerprints received (for my spouse)
Nov 12 2024: Background completed (for my spouse)

When I called IRCC they mentioned that they process all the applications for family together. If LPP was in progress all along can I expect that to be completed soon? our applications are being processed in vancouver office.

Added to spreadsheet. You should get an update on LPP soon as your spouse BG is completed.

It can take anywhere from a week to a year, but for most people it's about a month or two or so.

LPP marked completed on Nov 15.

I am leaving for India on 17. I hope I don’t get scheduled for Oath during my trip.
Updated. When are you returning back? If your office is vancouver they might take a week or two to schedule oath which will be atleast a week ahead. So guestimate would be 3 weeks from now.
