Thanks. Any idea how many days would prohibitions take and eventually trigger oath email? My office is Scarborough and I saw a few cases in the tracker from May still having their prohibitions not completed.
SCR is pretty quick. From one stage to another. But if someone's physical presence (less buffer days etc) or prohibitions is special case then its hard to say when that particular stage will complete. Your oath should come very soon after prohibitions is done. It's also possible that a slower officer is working on the file. I have seen that some people in Montreal get approved faster than others. Lpp takes 10 to 15 days for some while month and a half or so for others

Thanks. My language and physical presence is completed. Only prohibitions is remaining now. Someone had mentioned that it's related/linked to background so I'm just hoping that the background check completion triggers a prohibitions completion soon . Thanks

@maverick1982 @hssrp please update:
Received oath invite today - Oath date Oct 23.
Quick question: In oath invite letter the "seat number" for Zoom call is different for my wife and myself, do we need to be in different rooms and use different computers?
Join together from one computer. They will also suggest to join together if you are a family. Put both seat numbers in place of name (eg: 011, 012). Mine was from NGF and both me and my wife joined together and completed the oath without any issues. Good luck and congrats.

Hello everyone, just read somewhere, somebody had their BG marked completed some time ago and today it was marked “in progress” again.
Is this common?
@hssrp @maverick1982 is there a trend you guys have ever seen?

Fingerprint-based background checks are only valid for a year. If your application process isn't completed within that timeframe, you'll need to resubmit your fingerprints and background moves to in progress again. Does not happen in any other case.

LPP was completed September 18th. Since then there's no update. All the emails so far has been from NGF. Are they that slow ? I cant recall if there was option to select online oath or in person. either way it seems there is no movement since then.

Per the instructions from IRCC, family members can join from the same computers/zoom session. The zoom display name will be comma separated. For example if your seat numbers are 84 and 85; the zoom display name will be saved as - 84,85. In case you don't enter it correctly, the IRCC clerk will update your zoom name accordingly, so don't worry about it.

Anyone else get the invite from regarding the Citizenship to Passport initiative Pilot? Looks like it came from the Calgary office.

I'll need to mail out to them a simplified form, receipt of payment), and my photos, 30 days from receiving the email (today, not even done by oath yet). They said it would take about 20 business days to mail me the passport once I've completed my oath and forms.

Anyone else receive this and have any experience with this pilot?
Yes, few applicants get selected for this Pilot program. Please note that it will take the regular 20 business days so if you were/are planning to submit an express passport application for 2-9 days, then DO NOT submit this pilot application form as they do not have the express/urgent options. If that is fine with you, then you can go ahead.

You can call and inquire. You are still within normal processing time so not much you can do other than inquire. For some people prohibitions takes longer if there is a name match etc and it's hard to tell. After prohibitions you should get oath relatively quickly. Montreal office is a little random and for some lpp and oath are done quickly. But for others it takes nit more time. In my case physical presence took 20 days more than other two but oath came very quickly.
