What is happening with the delays? I see some people who applied in July have also received Oath ceremony invites. But June applications are still pending. Any idea?
What is happening RN is ridiculous. Everything turned green on my side more than a month ago but I'm still waiting for the oath letter/invite.

I had my in person interview on 16th of October, and the officer said all good and asked for our choice that how we would ikea to recieve the oath , but yet LPP is " in progress " on the tracker , is it ok?
We had an interview the day before you and we received GU 2 days after the interview but nothing was updated, the officer asked us our choice for oat ceremony, but there is still no update. If there is an update from you, I would be very happy if you could inform us too.

Finally some update from SCR
Update date: 17 Oct
LPP: 15 Oct
Oath email: 18 Oct
Oath date: 29 Oct via zoom

Note: since I had GU on 14 Sept and it was confirmed to be external department request (travel records in my case), I am guessing that officer’s tend to revisit such request’s response after a month.

Can someone share recent process for getting passport quickest ? I have heard about doing in person application (does location matter here? I’m in GTA) as I already have travel booked for 1st December.

Best of luck to all who are waiting for the next stage. thanks everyone.

Congratulations. Updated sheet. Go to a passport Canada office and not just Canada service center. If you search for offices near your zip code , there will be ones which say service Canada and others who have passport office or passport center mentioned in addition to service Canada title. It is 10 business days for a passport office and 20 days for regular service center. The service center will simply forward the application to passport office. The mail will take additional time. If you remove the 20 days or more in search selection and only tick the 10 days to 19 day , that should eliminate most of the slower office. If you need it sooner than 10 day , then you need proof of travel etc.

You are still within 6 month standard processing time. You may get standard reply. Call and check if Security and Criminality is passed. Next would be L, P, P for you, so expect an update in a month or two. All depends on officer, their load, efficiency and office (Ex, SCR is fast Vancouver is bit slow). You may be lucky to get oath soon though...80% applications are in 6 month standard time. If you have had less travel history, no other complexities, single applicant, etc. might be quick. Just fyi - there are folks from March and April still awaiting updates.

Hopefully, what is the usual timeline for this to complete?
Your language and physical presence is done. So prohibitions was only floating on fingerprint. Depends a bit on office . But my guess is maybe within 2 weeks. Some people see their prohibitions done in few days after fingerprint. Ideally that's the case for you . Do you know your office
