Hello All,
Many of you are talking about citizenship test and oath.
My AOR is June 22, LPP and BG is still in progress. No GUs or anything.
I traveled out of India in July and is that the reason for no progress? If not, what could be the reason?

Physical Presence Days: 1102
Application: Single/Family(number of family members) : Family of 2 members
Application sent: June 16th
AOR: June 25th

Test invites August 21 - September 20. Both members completed tests in August 23
* Spouse:
- BG completed: August 15
- Everything else in progress

* Me:
- Test completed update: August 27
- Everything else in progress

I am quite worried about the fact that my spouse BG is completed, but mine is still in progress even though both of us are invited to take the test. I have heard that the BG check for some applications can be complicated and can take multiple months. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Your travel outside the country will not be an issue in processing. Unless you miss interview or something like that. They say its better to inform them if traveling out of country for more than 15 days

From what I saw in this tracker here, there’s quite a few cases that did their tests in July and have already received their oath letters: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/canadian-citizenship-processing-tracker

I’d say 1-2 months is a normal timeline to expect! From the report I ready here, the whole citizenship process is taking no more than 5 months these days which is super quick: https://www.immitracker.app/blog/immitracker-immigration-processing-time-insights-may-june-2024

As a bit of a tech person myself, I’d add a splash of color:
1. Ensure your camera is working properly, and keep your face centered and in focus throughout the test.
2. Maintain your gaze on the screen—avoid looking around.
3. Stay silent during the test. While IRCC cannot hear you, any visible movement of your mouth could raise suspicion.
4. Carefully read the questions about yourself without speaking aloud.
5. Close all other applications, leaving only your browser (Chrome on Windows or Safari on Mac) open with the test landing page. While the system can’t detect background apps, it will notice if you switch focus to another app or tab.
6. Minimize mouse movement and follow the test interface carefully with your cursor.
7. Disable any VPN connections before starting the test.
8. Remain at your workstation until the test is fully completed.
If we search in google- webcam check there are links which will show how your webcam looks and you can also take a picture. Take a picture of ID and see if it's clear. Also it's better to have your back at the wall. When checking the cam you can position fir the best view. When first starting the test, the browser will show allow or deny , correct? There is no way to allow all for camera in windows. The only options are always ask and deny

So, we got the GU today. But here's the thing, only my wife's and my application received the GU. Our minor child's application is still the same as before. Is that normal?
