hey guys, hope everyone is doing well. I am reading the instruction letter for the citizenship test and it states: To take the online test you will need:  A photo identification (ID)with your signature on it, such as o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) or o a valid government issued photo ID.
This is a contradiction because my PR card doesn't have any signature on it. Should I use my drivers license to be on the safe side?
Can anyone that has done the test share their experience with this please!
Thank you
Yes, you can use driving license. I have used driving license and my wife used Ontario Photo ID. Both of us have already pass and status has been updated as completed. So, nothing to worry.

I used PR card. Will it be an issue since it doesn't have a signature?
I am waiting on my status to be updated to be completed.

Thanks mate. The consultant told me that I just need to rent out my home and take my family with me to become a non resident for tax purpose. Since I am paying my mortgage, he said there is no need to close my bank account. regarding other stuff, he said the following:

Credit cards: No need to surrender, but preferable
Driving License: No need to surrender, it automatically wont get renewed after the expiry date
OHIP: No need to surrender, it automatically wont get renewed once we stay out of Ontario for more than 6 months
Storage for furniture: No issues renting storage
Car: Either sell or end lease

I first I was a bit skeptical about this advice since this sounds too good to be true. But the consultant was recommended by a friend who has been using his services for more than 30 years now. Also, the tax consultant has more than 3000 clients in GTA with most of his clients in the Middle East.

Hope this helps.

Mr. Adil, have you given the citizenship test?

There won’t be any issue as long as they can see your photo in PR card. My id was so blurry so i was so worried but it was marked as completed in tracker after one business day.

I gave test on Friday last week. It hasn't been updated yet.
Hoping on Monday or Tuesday, it does get updated.

Thank you for the response :)
