I am stuck at Security clearance and Residence Eligibility stage after i gave my FP in March. Background Checks have yet not been completed.

As per my last GCMS notes on May 10, background check, security clearance and Residence Eligibility are in Progress.

Language, prohibition, oath are not started.

Citizenship Test only item completed in my online profile.
Hi Rizwan, Security clearance and Residence Eligibility is the really difficult part for most of the people staying in GCC countries.

I know so many people waiting for 2 years for the same scenario.

I passed the knowledge test a few weeks ago, and currently waiting for the language, prohibitions and physical presence which are in progress. I have a question about physical presence: when I requested my arrival & departure report from CBSA before submitting the citizenship application, I noticed that a few departures where not shown on that report. Most of the missing departures were travel to the USA, which can be easily verified using the US I94 record (which is available from the US I94 website) . My question is if it would be a good idea to proactively send/upload my I94 record to IRCC, instead of waiting to see if they would ask for it later. Maybe also send a scan of all pages of my passport (this was not required in early June 2021 when I submitted my paper application).

TIA

I believe sending documents to IRCC without a request will make the case complicated and it is also mentioned on their website.

Passports pages also they are waving for many people let's wait for VO to contact you.

Thanks. Yeah I guess it makes sense to wait and see if they ask for it. I wonder if there are other people who have missing departures on their arrival/departure CBSA record, and if in this case they're always contacted to provide verification of the travel dates they listed on the citizenship application.

Yes i stayed in Saudi Arabia for 3 years after getting PR, may be this is the main reason for delay.

Except I have not even visited any and my timeline looks the same. Also, I had my background cleared by RCMP before for other, more demanding purposes security wise.

Hi All,

An update here.....

I took and passed the test on April 01 and there was no update until June 06, when I got an email that I need to redo the test via Teams and submit copies of my passports and travel document(s).

On June 21 I was interviewed by an officer and took the test again, but this time in her presence and got a better passing grade (thank God!). Today everything is updated to "completed" with the exception of oath ceremony.

I wanted to know why I had to take the test again because I was sure I didn't and wouldn't cheat, so from what she said, apparently my camera wasn't working properly during the test and I didn't realize or plainly didn't know.

So I am waiting now to get invited to the Oath Ceremony.

Was your test marked completed after you passed it on Apr 01 ?
