I see! That's why some people's files are transferred to another VO after Beijing VO?
Last week I called IRCC and confirmed my file is still in Beijing. So, it seems it'll take bit more for me...
I believe my file is still in Beijing. The PPR letter says if there any mistake in permanent resident documents (I think this is COPR) contact Beijing office.

I'm happy to hear that! And you said you sent message to Beijing office via Webform?
If you won't mind, what were the message like? I'm thinking gonna try sending message again...

That's my understanding at least yes, since this seems to be a Primary/Secondary VO kind of thing.
Same thing for us, our application is still out there, no update, no movement :(

I sent a message that to confirm the email address on the file(because I was worried that PPR might have gone to the wrong email address).
I never got a reply though so I don't know if sending a message helps.

I think I've sent 2 webforms without any answer, so yeah, don't believe it helps either.

Seeing all your progress gives me hope, but also makes me worried since ours isn't moving and we've got about the same "In process" again as all of you. This whole thing makes not sense to me anymore !

So happy for you all !
I saw you applied in August right so we are two months or so ahead, i'm sure you will see some progress in some time....

That seems to make sense I think. My understanding is Beijing processes to help the other VO with the large backlog and amount of files, but the primary VO finalises everything. Seems to line up with all I've read !
You are correct - Beijing helped but Mexico is the one communicating with me (Mexico is my VO) Beijing confirmed in an email to me that they are assisting a lot of other VO's however we have to contact our main VO

Did anyone else get a bit surprised by the ask from the local visa processing office requesting an additional processing fee? In my case NY Visa Processing required a consent form, and addl fees to continue processing my app.

??!! I've never heard of that... Why do they need additional fee to continue the process?!
They requested you an additional fee via mail or phone call?

I got an email from vfsglobal about it. It certainly seemed legitimate.

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/

Was a little puzzled. If it turns out to be a scam I’ll dispute the charge via my card issuer.
Hmm... For certainty, it seems legitimate tho.
How much they requested for continuing the process? If you don't mind to answer.
And you've already paid your fees to IRCC (I mean $1050)?

Ended up being roughly $50USD. Most of that fee is for courier service returning my documents.
