I think there is no need to worry since they have already mentioned that they wont return your application .
Try to call CIC Call center and inform them about this issue and see if they can help.

This is normal , some people got Biometrics request and after few day they got AOR.

Wait for few days and see if you get E-Mail for AOR

I did manage to link my account using PA details from the biometrics letter!
