It seems like they really start sending test invitations to 2020 applicants. A march 2020 applicant reported being invited, from the march 2020 citizenship applicant thread. One more March 2020 applicant from FB reported being invited today.

Updated. You can't do them at all? Or it will just take a while for the results to get sent to IRCC?

I am trying to find out how to get it done. There is barely any information given on the letter CIC issued. Commissionaires usually does it, but they are closed until further notice due to the lockdown.

RNC is not doing fingerprints either at the moment. IRCC just annoys me so much. Its almost like they live in another world.

FPs might be requested in some cases when, for example, there is a name / DOB match in some criminal database or persons of interest. Well, there is no concrete data but if you are asked for any type of additional documentation, application is considered non-routine. Or, it could be completely random as well (might be a random file pulled from the file for additional checks to ensure program integrity). I'm not saying there will be delays but don't be surprised if there are.

Not sure if this is useful for the tracker but I called IRCC around about Feb 10 to check if they received my fingerprints (done in Vancouver on Jan 15) and they said they hadn't received and to call back after at least one month from the date they were done. Anyway, I called back yesterday to check and they received them.

Probably fingerprints request, that's my guess.
