I will be mailing an application on Monday for a Citizenship and PR card, I am very skeptical about using Canada post because of all the delays they are experiencing.
Seems like it's hit or miss. Lately it seems delays have been better. I guess the closer you live to Sydney, NS, the better your chances of it getting there sooner than later.

Members,

I just want to reconfirm about question 5 relating to the names. I haven't changed my name in my life. So shall I leave that blank or I need to put my Current name there as well in the table.

Thanks.

Put your current name. Many did the same. I know Q5 is confusing, as it doesn't say if name is not changed or legal name change.

Fill it with current name and play safe.

Per instruction guide for Q5:
We need to know all of the names you have ever used in order to verify your identity. If you used any other names other than the one being requested in your grant of citizenship application, print them in the chart. Examples: Name at time of birth, name before marriage, previous married names, married name, nick names or any other names you have used. If you have legally changed your name, see Appendix A – Changing the name on your document.

Does anyone have an idea of when immigration will begin processing again and what kind of delays we can expect??
Thoughts?

I put my name for question 5 and indicated that this was my name since birth just to be safe. It also mentions that you should include "names since birth"

I have been thinking about it too. Since lockdown restrictions have been getting less stricter day by day, I wonder if IRCC will ramp the man power for the applications piling up lately.

Quick questions -
1> Can the application fee for me and spouse be paid together online or separately?
2> Do I need to use envelop/flies or just use the envelop from the courier.

From the Guide:
Step 5 – Pay the fees
You must pay your fees online (opens in a new tab). If you have forgotten your password for the online payment system, you can reset it.

The fee is $630 for each applicant 18 years of age and older applying for Canadian citizenship.

Calculating your fees
If more than one member of your family is applying for Canadian citizenship pay the fees all together.

What do you mean by flies? All you need to do is put your package in an envelope and send it to the right address according to your mailing method.
