I got my photos done at Staples and they said someone that has known me for 5 years needs to sign the back of the photo?

I don't see any of that on the requirements page, it says "name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio"

With the big stamp for the location info and the signature line, there is only a little space for my name and date of birth.

Has someone else been told the same?

I guess they are referring to a photo for Canadian Passport, I don’t think its 5 years however. Passport photo should be signed by a guarantor

So I got the wrong stamp? Should I get it sign or just ignore that line and get my name and date of birth?
Here are the requirements PR photo https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...grants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/photo.html
The back of one photo must include:
  • the subject’s name and date of birth
  • the name and complete address of the photography studio
  • the date the photograph was taken
The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable

Call IRCC to confirm if the stamp you got is inaccurate and can’t be used for PR card. Since they are very clear with their requirements, the photo might need to be changed

It must be some mis understanding at staples. Check with them if they can provide replacement photos, they may still cover this under your initial payment.
