Wow, today was a day that so many folks got their application either approved or passed all the stages. It was inspired me to make a call and the very nice agent told me your application is ALMOST...ALMOST NOTHING CHANGES. . Santa, where is my Christmas gift???

Seriously this is what i am asking again n again and this time I have same curiosity as my kids, although some chocolates can make them happy but I need nothing less than PR

I'm on the same boat. I called last week and that is what they told me.
My profile has stayed the same since at least October 26th, since my GCMS notes generated that day indicated the same status.

Same with me nothing is changing for months now

Hi @legalfalcon do you know the photo requirements for the PR card? I was thinking on getting them ahead instead of waiting for the CoPR emails since I was told the application was approved and things are going to close again on December 25.

@legalfalcon what will be the process if someone is on LMIA Closed work permit. Do I need to apply for LMIA again or I can apply for BOWP while still waiting for decision?

It does not matter whether your have a closed WP or open. If you have filed your PR application and if your meet the following, you can file an application for BOWP:


To be eligible, you must:

• live in Canada (Quebec not included)
• have a valid work permit that expires in 4 months or less
• be the principal applicant on your permanent residence application
• have submitted a complete application for permanent residence and passed the completeness check
• have your acknowledgement of receipt letter

Lol, it appears to me that a lot of folks have their applications approved just like me. I thought I was the only weirdo to not get a COPR days after getting the final decision. Hang in there, people. We will see what happens next. I am glad I have some company.

It could mean that you have Review Required, or it could mean that your eligibility is yet to be evaluated by an officer, and only has been evaluated by an analyst / assistant.

I am guessing on this year, I am on the bad list of Santa lol!! Better luck next year!! I called the agent and nothing changed so far..

Santa has a naughty list called CPC-OTTAWA. so if you are on it then you know what it means. IT's on the mood of Santa whom to give presents and not to give. lol

Never tried to call IRCC before. But I tried to call them yesterday and today on this number 1-888-242-2100 and it said our call center is closed. Of course, I called in work hours (6:30 to 8) local time in BC which is about (9:30 to 11) Toronto.

How much is it probable after this long wait they come back to me that I haven't even passed the eligibility? Is there another number folks call them and they answer?
