I can see friends you are progressing well. I am a beginner please help me out with how to start an application
If you look at the tracker, you'll see that there have been very few moves to VO after August 7th, and those that did were not going to Mississauga. It appears that there is something holding up the processing for most people, possibly only those going to Mississauga.Hi everyone, as I can see the file generally moves to vo before the medical is passed. In my case, the medical has been passed but I have not received any email saying that the file has been moved to a particular vo. Any suggestions on what could be the matter
What information are we supposed to give in order to find our application when we call CIC?I would give CIC a call my Wife's application was received on June 28 and we did not recieve an email but when I called today the guy was very helpful and said A0R should been sent and gave me our application number.
They will surely ask for your application number or UCI numberWhat information are we supposed to give in order to find our application when we call CIC?
I just had give my name, address, city I was born and phone number and they were able find it and would have your tracking number for the package in case they need it.What information are we supposed to give in order to find our application when we call CIC?
Thanks for the reply. Anyway, Is it a good thing that my file was transferred to a local visa office or is this something that I need to worry? It was previously from Mississauga and then was transferred to the local office after 20 daysI think this is a more recent occurrence. You could always just place a comment onto the spreadsheet and notify the admin about your situation. Maybe they'll make adjustments for it.
I agree as I am one of them. We have had no notifications/updates ever since they received our medical results. I am still waiting for the file to be transferred to a VO. Mississauga seems like the fastest visa office however it is mostly to reduce backlog of local visa offices. If you look at the tracker, you'll see that there have been very few moves to VO after August 7th, and those that did were not going to Mississauga. From what I've been reading from others, the Mississauga office is the faster route, anywhere else is always slower. Other offices seem to really enforce the 1 year rule, unlike Mississauga where there are applications that gets approved even before the 5 month mark hits. Not entirely sure though if there's really any firm distinction as to why an app gets transferred to other visa offices though after it being sent to the Mississauga one..Thanks for the reply. I read that it has to do with where PA lives. There doesn't seem to be any real sense of fairness. Applications from India seem to be processed real quick in Mississauga while mine will take no less than 11 months. From what I've been reading from others, the Mississauga office is the faster route, anywhere else is always slower. That's weird. I have never seen something like that. since you have previous application number your Biometric letter, Will you still be able to do Bio?Sponsor received an email this morning with a letter saying "for administrative purposes, you have been issues a new application number"
Has anyone else received this letter? I was able to link the new account number to my GCKey, and it's status is sitting at "Submitted" instead of "In Progress" or "Your action is required" like the old number. I still need to give my biometrics (my appointment is on monday), so hopefully I can still use the bio request with the old application number on it, but I'll have both just on case
After some light searching, I've seen people receive it after transfer to VO (ours was transferred to Missisauga earlier this month), so I'm assuming that's what it's about, but I was just curious if anyone else has gotten one.
