I just called IRCC and they just told me that testing still on hold and they don’t know when tests will resume

my file is only pending testing .

hopefully soon they’ll put a plan in place.

Citizenship Oath Day : August 24 @ 9am.
There were 66 attendees, the whole program took us more than 1 hour.

I got an email invite for virtual ceremony... instructions said I should sign and SCAN the form... has anyone taken a picture with their phone of the signed form instead. I don’t have a scanner and taking a picture is quicker and can be done immediately.

Congrats. My Oat is in a few days. But did you actually scan your signed form or did you take a picture of it with your phone and send to them.... using my phone is quicker and more convenient, I do not have a scanner

use the app camscanner to take a picture on your phone that transforms pic to a scanned image, thats what I did

You can sign it electronically, there will be instructions in the email atachment as to how you can sign the declaration electronically and send it

Call from unknown number August 11- schedule Zoom oath in 2 weeks. Agent said an email will follow up with the details e.g. exact time and instructions

Email Aug 24: Confirmation and instructions of Virtual Ceremony

Virtual Ceremony completed today, lasted about 30 mins - Group Ceremony

No previous oath schedule

you will not know the citizenship certificate number after your oath. you need citizenship certificate to apply for the passport, you need to send the original copy along with your passport application form

after this no update. I called up Citizenship contact center and they said the delay is due to COVID and no problem with my application .

I am getting a bit worried because my PR is expiring in Sept 2020 . Is anyone in same situation. Surprised to see many people from Mississauga are getting Oath Ceremony request

In the same situation as yours, IRCC has yet to post a plan for citizenship tests. Covid has thrown a wrench in everyone's plans. Only thing that can be done is to wait patiently and hope for the best.

They accept by post for sure as i have seen posts mailing the application.
