Timeline:
Submission: June 1st
AOR: June 6th
Test: December 6th (Scarborough)
My status turned to DM and the ecas says that they have sent a notice for the oath with a date but I haven't received anything yet; is it normal? and would the date in the ecas vary with the actual letter?
Thanks a lot,

Thanks a lot,

Check your spam filter. Sometimes the e-mail/snail mail could take a few days to arrive. The date your ECAS says is your oath will be the date reflected in your letter.
Hope this helps.

updated For Temp locations there is often a schedule For example I am in Victoria and they come twice a year. I don't know but I suspect St John's also has a schedule of some sort.

how can you know which office is processing your application?

if they only come twice a year, then that would be very bad because you could be waiting for 6 months depending on their last schedule.

Good morning everyone!

i got my test invitation on November 26th (but only got the email on December 5th...) and the test date is January 3rd in Edmonton.
They indicated that they sent me a notice by mail but so far I only received the email... Am I expected to receive anything by mail?

Now it’s time to study for me!

Congrats! If you have the e-mail, that's all they send. Good luck!

Hi All,

Long time lurker but finally got my access back.

I see we have a lot of test takers for Scarborough :). All, please try and add adequate extra time for your trip to the test centre, I almost missed my test yesterday due to congestion on the 401. Hopefully, no one is as bad at estimating travel time as I am:(.

The test was quite easy, please read the book in its entirety, practice online and you should be fine.

My timeline and details:
Single applicant, 1104 Days, Toronto
App delivered: June 24, 2019
AOR: August 30
IP: October 15
Test Invite: November 29
Test Date: December 10
DM: December 10 (updated in ECAS on Dec 11)
Oath invite: December 10
Oath ceremony: December 11

There is someone in the June spreadsheet that has already taken oath, and some might not have come back to update yet. I do agree it was quite fast, I wasn’t expecting till March/April 2020.

I am sure yours will be changed to ‘Decision Made’ soon with Oath to follow. My processing office, Scarborough, can be quite fast with updating after test while Montreal seem to take days/weeks between each stage.

I have to get ready now so I am not late today as well;)

Hi guys, applied for my first Canadian passport today. Now its time to leave this great community. I indeed, enjoyed a great journey with all of you guys. :):)

Hi Guys, Any insight to what is happening with Ottawa area applications? It seems activities is stalled in comparison to S'borough/Toronto areas with similar AOR and IP timelines.

Congratulations to those that have had their tests. I hope everyone gets sorted soon. We talk a lot about the test but not the post-test interview. Can anyone shed more light on the interview? Cheers.

Yes I noticed this too, Ottawa hasn't been active for a while, almost none since May has received a test invite. any idea why?

Post test interview is mainly the process of verification of your passport stamps with the one you mentioned in the application. I could vary from person to person and they can verify something else, however, from my own experience it is mainly checking your travel history.
