No idea, some applicants who applied before us are still waiting and some who applied after already got dm. It depends on officer to officer and case to case to finalize the process, i think

Second letter is urs AOR2 .they hve received the application nd started processing....

The second letter was sent to me (the sponsor). Is the AOR2 suppose to go to the sponsor?

Ideally that goes to PA. It shows on PA's ecas in my case.

Yes I checked on the PA's ecas. It shows a processing date of Dec 17 now. I totally would have missed if someone hadn't shown me where the update occurs...I was looking at the bottom for updates, assuming that that is where normal people would put an update .

Im kinda lost here I only use the cic online service to check if there is any update.. is there any other way plz send me the link cuz everyone is posting with all these terms like ecas or PA OR AOR and I have no idea what they stand for

Yeah I remember being lost too. There's an online tool you can check out that they (supposedly) update daily.
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas&lang=en

You log in and go through the pages and it gives you a summary of the updates that have been applied to the application. I later found out that this tool is what everyone keeps referring to as ECAS. Let me know how it goes.

AOR2 = When your file gets moved to the PA's local visa office (in my case NDVO - New Delhi Visa Office) and processing has started
PPR = Passport Request
DM = Decision Made
