Don't know what's going on. June 19th app and still waiting for AOR.so frustrated if they are working on june 26 and nothing for june 19th
Same here. It's so frustrating. I got update today that they have opened my package but will have to wait for any further update.

I personally know a few June 25th applications who just got their AORs within the past several days. It's weird that they're saying your application is not opened still. They will have to open it then review for completion before they release the AOR.

For the most part, they forward it to Sydney. They usually give a few weeks of grace period when they update something. Don't worry for now and just sit tight for an update. :)

I have just called CIC call centre to enquire regarding my application and he told that currently they are processing for June 26 and told to call around September end if I don't receive any AOR before that time. I have submitted on July 16.

What stress me more is the fact that I can't call them to check, since my wife and I are in Brazil and the telephone number doesn't accept calls from outside Canada :(

Hi all,
I am new in this forum...I am a Principal Applicant (Kenyan citizen) living in Kenya and my husband is a Canadian citizen. My husband sent the sponsorship and permanent residence package on June 16th, for an overnight delivery, to Missisauga. We were unaware that the address had changed to Sydney, Nova Scotia.
We used the updated generic form, but did not realize the checklist was also changed. What is likely to be the response from immigration Canada?
We have received no communication from immigration at all as of this date.

Thank you for providing this forum

My application was sent out and delivered to Sydney's office on June 25 2018. However last time I called they told me they are still opening up application package from June 12 and prior. It's been almost two months and we still haven't got the notice of receiving through email and we started to wonder if our package was lost during transition. Should I be worried? If I call them what kind of information can I provide so they can check for me since I don't have a case number or anything so I don't think they can see anything on their system either to provide me any updates. It is very stressful now because we can't make sure if they got it. Anyone knows what should i do? Thanks!

Application received: June 14
Linked to GCKey: July 26
Ecas in process: July 25
AOR: July 30
DM on sponsor/bgc started: August 3
SA email: August 17
Medical request: August 20 (received August 21)
Did you get a separate message saying they'd started your background check? And what does it say for your review of eligibility? Am I correct in assuming your background check doesn't start processing until after you meet eligibility requirements? Our application is staying in Mississauga but other than that we've had no updates since sponsor approval & medical passed last month. I'm just grasping at straws here really! Trying to visualise what the next step might be, haha.

No emails, GCKey just gets updated to “we are processing your bgc. We will send you a message if we need more information”. The eligibility review status stays the same (we are reviewing whether you meet...) until the application gets approved, but my eligibility review and bgc started on the same day so they’re not correlated. Could you please share your timeline and how do you know your application will stay in Mississauga??

Oh that makes sense. Mine still just says 'Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check' on gckey so from the way it looks, they're not doing anything at the minute! Hopefully that's not true, lol. Re: our visa office, I got a separate email (to me, sponsor, about 1 week after SA):
'This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your
relative(s) will be processed at CPC Mississauga.'
We're common law outland applicants living in the UK, so I was surprised London was not our processing office. I've been told by others on the forum that they do keep a number of outland apps in Mississauga but not sure why.
App received June 1st
AOR1 July 11th
Med req July 13th
SA July 17th
Med completed July 27th
Med passed July 31st
That's all so far!

Question:
While your outland spousal application is in progress can you apply for your spouse's work permit, or that would still require LMIA?

HI.
Is there anyone who could help me linked my husband's profile to gckey that he created. Is cic will going to email him to link it?
This is my timeline.
June 11-application received in sydney office
June 29- AOR1
July31- ECAS (PRINCIPAL APPLICANT-IN PROCESS)
Aug17- Sponsor approved.

What should be the next step? I supposed it should be medical request for him right?
Country of origin-Philippines, Manila.

As far I can tell, Open Work Permit is only available for the Inland applicants; if the PA wants to work in Canada and has applied outside Canada, it will be necessary a LMIA.

Hello,

If I don't get any response by next week then is it OK to start a new application? Has anyone experienced this that your package has been received and is right now at "user documentation" and then they do not resppnd at all?

Why would you do that?

If they have your application, they will either return it for missing documents or you will get AOR. You really need to exercise more patience, it's a long process.

There is no set timeline for AOR, it took an applicant last fall 12 weeks to get it.

Sending another application would confuse the heck out of everybody at IRCC.
