There are loads of April applicants still waiting, and I believe most May people as well.
I'm sure some will get lucky, but I'd be really surprised if most get their DMs before late April/early May.

Hi guys! Just an update! CIC received our application on June 19th and on Feb 8th my husband ( who I am sponsoring) got a request to do his medical. Quick question though! As the Sponsor, is it normal to take this long without hearing whether or not Ive been accepted as a sponsor?? On my side all I see is that they started processing my application July 27th.

Completely normal!

Medical received and scheduled for this Friday. :)

Side question (since it's tax season). Is my wife going to have to file an income tax return for the year of 2018? She didn't work at all last year in Canada, so it is not like she had an income. Is it only Permanent Residents that have to fill one out?
