Hi everyone,

As I said before, it is nearly impossible for me to update the sheet as often as I had been (which was 3-5 times per week). I know we have a couple more people who have access to update, but I am not sure who they are.

If you would like to help out, please send an email to CACitizenship(AT)gmail.com (per the sheet) to be added :)

Admins, please make sure to post in the thread here quoting what has been added to our sheet, so other admins know when they have to start adding without having to check every single request for an update! :D

Thank you and good luck to all

I did my test yesterday in Vancouver and today I got Decision Made! The sheet has been updated.

Test was pretty easy and straight forward, as well as the interview. She asked for my IDs and PR card (which she photocopied), then asked for my passports and told me she was going to verify some stamps. I only had 3 trips outside of Canada, all to my country of birth and for 3 weeks or less each time, so it was pretty quick. She asked me what I did for work, if it was full time, and the name of the business. She also asked if I had family in Canada, to which I replied only my husband, then she asked what his status was and I said Canadian citizen. She asked me if I had trouble with the police or immigration anywhere in the world, I said no (she asked me that again a couple of minutes later, then realized she had already asked me that, and we had a bit of a laugh). She did not ask to see my proof of language or my change of name certificate (of which I had sent copies with my original application). Then she asked me to sign the paper, which basically said she did all of the necessary checks, that I had no prohibitions and that I has providing truthful information. Then she said "its's all good! Next step will be getting a notice to appear for the Oath ceremony, in 2 or 3 months, probably closer to 2 months!". I asked if everything was done, like background checks etc and she said "yes everything is done! Next step is the oath"- sure enough, I got DM today!

I was pretty nervous all day haha but it was chill. I am very glad that this part is over :) Hope the above is helpful to everyone preparing for their test and interview.

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

I have a question, all those who have received test invitation and date, did they request urgent processing of the application? If I take a look at the June, July or August applicants' timeline I see that many people have not received test invitation yet. Is there a reason why? Why test invitation timeline pattern is so odd? Please share your insights. Thanks!

Hello there,

Maybe it depends which office has your file, try to Call CIC 1 (888) 242-2100 maybe an agent can have more details about your case. Good luck

Thank you Venosta for your quick response and advise, will reach out to CIC to get more information

We only had 2 June 2018 applicants request urgent processing- one of them has taken the oath, and the other one stopped updating us (I assume they took the oath too). Check the spreadsheet, in the notes it shows who requested urgent processing.

People from June who have taken their tests have not requested urgent processing, it is the normal process (I have done the test and my ECAS shows DM, for instance). Some applications just take longer than others, that is normal :) There are different things to be checked, background checks from other countries, presence days etc. There is no need to be alarmed!
